Thank you so much for creating this channel. I’m currently waiting on a decision from Valencia to get into their nursing program. I was having such a hard time finding any current or past nursing students from their nursing programs that could enlighten us on how the program really is . I love to prepare ahead of time so watching your vlogs is really helpful for me. I can already tell you’re going to be an amazing RN!
Wow! Well thank you so much for sharing that with me :). I create these vlogs mostly for myself but it seems that they are somewhat helpful to others as well. I am starting my second semester right now and am working on creating a new video tonight so stay tuned!
Wow, this video was so organized and informative! I am excited to start in January 2022 and it’s nice to know what to expect in the beginning process. Thank you!
Aww thank you for stopping by to comment. I really appreciate those kind words. Congratulations to you. You made it and you should be very proud. I am planning to do an update video either this week or next depending on timing so be sure to stay tuned.
@@nnnnpm2367 Hello! I noticed this same reply on all three of my videos so I will just reply to this one :). Valencia is one of the easier schools to get into. You are admitted on a first-come, first-served basis. Their website states that minimum TEAS score is currently 65 so you should be good. They do not place someone with a higher school in front of your application it is only based on who applies first. Please take a look at their FAQ page on their website: valenciacollege.edu/academics/programs/health-sciences/nursing/frequently-asked-questions.php . Hope this helped answer your questions. Have a great day! :)
@@nnnnpm2367 It looks like Valencia has just updated their requirements for the Summer 2022 term. Hello! Congratulations on starting your first semester at Valencia College! I'm currently in the program as well about to start N4 in August. I'm excited to watch your journey through youtube and hopefully in person as well!
Hello and thank you so much for leaving a comment! If you're starting N4, does that mean you only have 2 semesters until you graduate? If so, congratulations!! 🎉 I also hope to meet in person or even out in the field one day! 😊 What specialty are you interested in?
Hi Kianna! Unfortunately, I'm sorry I cannot post a link 😩. It wouldn't take too much time for one to recreate it based on what I showed on my video though.
New subscriber here! I am debating whether I should apply at Valencia or retake the TEAS for a higher score and apply at both Seminole State College and Valencia. How do you like the program? Any pros and cons? I might just bite the bullet and apply at Valencia. They accept 40-70 students for the evenings/weekends program versus Seminole State doesn't have a evening weekend program and their part time only accepts 16 students. And Valencia nursing program is $2,000 cheaper than Seminole State College.
Hi Ashley and welcome! Have you watched my newest two videos yet? If not, I think you'd find them helpful. I don't currently recommend the Valencia program for a few reasons I mention in the videos. If I had to redo it, I would just apply at UCF and go there. Unfortunately, I needed a more flexible and cheaper program. If I were you, I would go ahead apply, it can't hurt! Apply to all of them, even UCF. If you try employed part time at Orlando Health, Advent Health, or Disney they'll pay for all of your tuition and books up front (not reimbursement) for Valencia or Seminole too. They offer reimbursement for other schools (at least at Orlando Health). Congratulations!! And keep going! 🎉
Hi!! Please check the Valencia website for the most up-to-date information. I don't want to convey wrong information as I don't work for Valencia, I'm just another student. As far as I'm aware, full-time ASN is only 3 semesters once admitted and part-time is 5 semesters. So three semesters is less than a year and 5 is just over a year.
Hi! Thanks for commenting. At the time when I applied, the minimum GPA for Valencia college is 3.0 and the minimum TEAS score was 64.9. This is subject to change though and you should always check out Valencia College's website to get the most up to date info. Please feel free to let me know if you have any other questions.

@@MDtoRN hi! She asked what YOUR specific scores were to gauge herself. I noticed you responded to this question the same way previously. Can you please answer honestly and not what Valencia requires?
@@JJ-ss4rq hi JJ I find your use of the word "honestly" to be a bit odd. I never reported anything that wasn't factual. It's my choice whether to provide any and all information that I choose. That being said, I'm very open about everything most of the time. My TEAS score was an 80. This is not something that I need to share though just because it's asked. Thank you for your comment.

What vaccines were required? Maybe you’ll go over that in a minute… still watching
Yes, if you want to skip to 8m 35s I start talking about which vaccines are required. There are 6 of them.
