A real biker's idea of paradise!! A friend had a bike breaker's yard like this back in the 1990's and I spend a lot of time there tinkering, fixing and having fun with bikes unpaid. Some even found their way back into my garage.
So, you needed a regulator for a XS650 or the XS400 your friend was fiddling with? Never assume a part from a completely different model will fit. There's many online sites to check to make sure. Yamaha 650 twins made from 1970-83. 1970 XS1; 1971 XS1B; 1972 XS2 was 1st year w/front disc brake; 1973 and 1974 TX650; 1975 'B' first year of 'XS650'. I have many TX and XS650's and XS400 parts bikes....in Iowa, just in case anyone needs something. Great vid, thanks for sharing.
This is Woody's cycle salvage on the way to Perth ON. In his shop he mostly deals with KTM motorbike's, but as well shown in the video he also enjoys having a large bike junkyard.

I have a few F11 250 parts bikes in Iowa USA. Oddly enough, F11 shares very few parts with other bikes of that era, 1973-75.
Baja brown fizzy sat next to that XS I'd love to have that for my next project.
