    I think the most amazing, scary, mindblowing, etc. thing is that there is a point in the universe where the light from our solar system has not reached yet, and if the popular theory of universe expansion is correct...it never will.
    The last remaining atoms of our planet (if atom decay theory is correct) will be completely gone before any evidence of our existence can reach anywhere near this point.
    I'm glad this planet of ours has so much to offer me that I will never have to worry about such isolation.
    I'm sure many authors, scientists, philosophers, etc. have said the same thing in many different ways; I'm glad we are not "Smart" enough to completely understand the vastness of the Universe, and I hope I never have to.
    That's what calms me at the end of it all. My purpose, our purpose, life's purpose, is not to be all, know all, see all. It is just to "Be". Its hard to argue against that. That life's only clear purpose it to simply exist in and experience the Universe, in whatever way that happens to be, such is the freedom and chaos of nature.
    We can't be everywhere, can't go everywhere, but we're here. Right now. The Universe still as much our home as it is to a speck of dust an inconceivable amount of distance away, so much of its beauty and mysteries left to be uncovered.
    We're the Universe...looking back at itself.

    • @davidgraham9053

      @@richardkey4289 Remember that all the weird creatures are all derived from the same genetic code and thus life only formed once and evolution later created the diversity. It is that single moment of life formation that is rare. have anyone thought about that overall universe is just some single cell's nucleus's dna's monitors's electrons, and out of that single cells is a whole much bigger universe and keep going on and on, on the otherside, with our size one earth one single cells have countless universe in its body, in those universe also have single cells and in those single cells also have lots off universe and keep going on and on,
    planets movement is like electrons movement, just saying

    The Milky Way galaxy has a "bar" type straight line going through its center with the glowing & luminous supermassive black hole. The spiraling arms come from two main arms, spiraling away from the galaxy's inner core. Our star (the sun) and solar system are located on the edge of one of these two arms, on the outer fringes of said galaxy. We're NOWHERE near the center of the Milky Way!

    The quote that appears in the box beside Earth is Carl Sagans': From this distant vantage point, the Earth might not seem of any particular interest. But for us, it’s different. Consider again that dot. That’s here. That’s home. That’s us. On it everyone you love, everyone you know, everyone you ever heard of, every human being who ever was, lived out their lives. The aggregate of our joy and suffering, thousands of confident religions, ideologies, and economic doctrines, every hunter and forager, every hero and coward, every creator and destroyer of civilization, every king and peasant, every young couple in love, every mother and father, hopeful child, inventor and explorer, every teacher of morals, every corrupt politician, every “superstar,” every “supreme leader,” every saint and sinner in the history of our species lived there - on a mote of dust suspended in a sunbeam.

  • @TheQuantumCore
    @TheQuantumCore 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    *We are so insignificant to the universe but we as an intelligent human species have made significant discoveries about our home and we are just only scratching the surface*

    • @RevoLee
      @RevoLee  5 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      No, it slowly zooms out of the local group. I unfortunately didn't label the Andromeda galaxy so that's why you probably got confused. But you can see Andromeda as soon as the video starts leaving the Milky Way Galaxy.

    Even if here is possibility about 0.0000000001% of life detection in observable Universe and our world is in this percentage. So imagine how much are there another intelligent worlds in absolute value. At least two. So where are these worlds? How to detect them? In a scale of entire Universe it must be millions of inhabited worlds.
