Will the Imitater versions of Baron von Bats and Gargantuar be added to the plant side as playable characters or no? It would be pretty neat to be able to play as those characters on the plant side
I’ve seen a lot of the complaints about this mod and I can say that the bosses themselves are not overpowered, but the fact that when they die they immediately come back. It just adds and unsolvable problem into the mix. Even if the entire team focuses in on the boss, the rest of the enemy team can support the boss or take the objective. Dude they have literal thousands of health Bosses can do more damage then basically any regular characters The sun flower queen can literally summon ai healers to give her more survivability on top of her massive hp pool The thing that makes bosses beatable is their predictable and kinda dumb ai Giving a player the hp and dmg of a boss in a multiplayer match is going to make them sweep through literally everything This "mod" is busted

I'd change a few things to balance it, mainly the speed of the bosses because they seem a lot faster than the real bosses and slowing them will make it harder to play and make it easier to hit the boss. Also a good thing is that I'm pretty sure if the boss dies the players actually get boss xp so when defeated you actually get a reward for your hard efforts.

in early versions of the mod disco zombie was actually a character, but his health is ridiculously low, that and the boss bar on your head would make you get targetted and killed pretty much instantly. And potted plants can't move online so you could still play as them, but you'd be stuck. And they have hardly any health as well... Maybe in the future though

@Fate Craig the loads of variants mod is trash, and i’m not saying that out of spite either, anyways that mod is made for offline usage so they can do whatever they want with anything in the files, my mod has to work with the boundaries of client side stuff, meaning i can’t change if they move or not as then it would not work online

I can relate, battle for neighbourvile is ok but also trash at the same time, gw1 doesn’t got much characters and the tower defense doesn’t have the charm of free roam
People are complaining that's it's not fair because of the health and damage. While the health is high from the footage because of how the bosses aren't meant to be playable the damage is rather low.
It would be nice if the bosses had like half of the health they currently have or dealt less damage to compensate for the fast movement of playable bosses as sometimes in online because of their unchangeable speed, some bosses (like Yeti) are reeeeally hard to hit, something that is really unfun to play against, specially online
i have made characters like gargantuar, big stump and giga torchwood slower than their default speed (because they were too fast), but i didn't really think of nerfing yeti, i might add this in a later update. I am not sure if i should reduce the bosses health however as most of them soak up loads of damage online and if you were to have less health you would die practically instantly as you are a target. thanks for the suggestions though!

It’s not exactly cheating because the bosses aren’t too overpowered, they are big and slow, and they are not invincible, plus they are giant targets so you will probably take a lot of hits, I guess delivery chomper could count as cheating because he’s literally a flying chomper but in the end they don’t really care about the game anymore anyways
i have told countless people this, just download the file in the description, download frosty mod manager, set it up, open the mod in mod manager and then click launch, if you want learn how to set up frosty mod manager click the video that appears at the end of the video

Great stuff; however, one question: was it not possible to add the new characters in without removing the standard ones? I know that the character selection screen is already cluttered, but it would have been nice to still possess the option to use the standard characters with the mod enabled, rather than being limited to boss / non-playable characters only. Nonetheless, great stuff.
that would’ve been the first thing i would’ve done in the mod, but for bosses and playable so to work online they must go over the original kits to go online so the server knows what files you want to use, that’s also why it doesn’t have way more ai than it does now, if i was making this mod offline then yes i could add as many as i want (also meaning that those other mods have no excuses), so sadly i cannot add any more kits without replacing the existing ones
I know you made this mod for fun but I had a match completely ruined by this mod, I had to leave online mode and go back to the backyard and look for another match because we were massacred by just one guy, this mod should only be released if there was a mod like northstar from titanfall 2 that you can see the matches that have mods and choose normal matches

there is no way to have full control over ammo online, but there still is a way to get more ammo, simply just apply ammo upgrades to your primary weapon (add as many as u want in frosty) and then apply them ingame and you now have more ammo online
sometimes when fairfight is active it might auto ban you for playing as junkasaurus or zomboss cat, maybe even the delivery characters too though thats not certain
And to the snowflakes that says it's ruining the game no it's not the characters are balanced yes to have a lot of Health but you are able to still die and you don't 1 shot everything hacks you can play as a browncoat if you're about to sit here and say the brown coat is ruining the game then maybe you shouldn't play the game
the release of this was the single worst thing to ever happen to garden warfare 2. i respect the effort but you desperately need to gut the link all this has done, for the most part, is infest the game with cheaters. the difference between this and something like aimbot is that this mod pack is extremely high profile and inevitably draws people in when they see code monkeys using it in game, so they try it for themselves. on behalf of the gw2 community that still plays it for fun, axe the download or make it private or something. very well made + well done but probably wasn't a good idea to release it publicly.
this mod also functions to crash lobbies because some of the models are extremely buggy and people new to using it inevitably try out each character and close the lobby for everyone. having recently been released on steam, the amount of cheaters + the accessiblity of the cheats + no moderator oversight has made players turn away from the game. i am under the assumption you like this game, so this mod is essentially neutering the playerbase. since popcap & ea don't care about gw2, it's kind of up to you to fix this or just let it fester until the game dies completely

Ask me a year ago and I would've been against mods online, but since it's been so long since support was cut I now just see it as new content. There's no crossplay, so technically anyone in the lobby can mod if they so choose. It's like unlocking a variant, but you have to do it outside of the game

@@guest2969 it actually depends on the difficulty he spawns in as on easy he has 1K but on normal 1-2K and hard is 2~K and crazy is 3K

i’ve already changed the speed the most i can in the mod, if i wanted to change it further i would have to make it offline sadly

Mod looks great, I’d recommend backing up the camera a bit though. Currently the boss takes up too much space on the screen to see much of anything
