Hey there, koolkiwi here, thank you guys so much for checking out my Silver Bayonet range! That is indeed Jack Aubrey and the next project will be a Royal Navy unit based on the Master and Commander books and movie :) Also fun fact about that one clue marker with the crab thingy coming out of the mortar: that type of canon was out of date by the time of the Napoleonic wars, I just loved the look so much that I wanted to use it nonetheless :D
Some gorgeous stuff there at Otherworld and I am happy to hear their model range will live on. Kev Adams and Paul Muller did a lot of work for their ranges.
Kicking myself for not starting to order from Otherworld when I found out about them 12+ years ago. Managed to find four models to add to my collection but a lot of what I'd been drooling over for years is gone. Glad to see some of the models have already been taken over and will still be available.
Dragon Trapper's Lodge made some excellent (and free) Telehorror figures you can pick up now as stls. And excellent pick in highlighting KoolKiwi, he's as great as his name suggests. Looking forward to his naval unit!
I wonder about swapping those medieval footmen’s heads onto my Bretonnian Men-at-Arms (forearms/hands as well with some careful work) to give them better proportions. The GW Bretonnian Men-at-Arms look like they have dwarfism with their head & hands’ size.
everything is small compared to GW who lost all meaning of scale about 2 decades ago. WA are 28mm to eye level so match in with pretty much every historic range that has kept to that, Victrix tend to be larger, but not distractingly so
for the Bolt Action 3rd edition I'm wondering if they would input a kampfgrupe like a German special rule, where you could mix different German units in the late war
Love the WA foot sergeants and will be picking those up. Not really interested in the Bolt Action rules but I might get the new starter box to get a start on some cool (cold) winter troops, and to have the rules since it is the easiest historical-ish game to find others playing.
That Terminus Frontier looks way too much like Infinity Defiance. Def getting those Wargames Atlantic Sergeants when released, and good to know theyll continue to expand on their medieval range.
Despite what they're saying in Bolt Action 3 a "full platoon" of WWII Infantry is almost always an HQ and three Sections, Squads or Gruppes or their equivalents for other nations. Hardly ever two and hardly ever a "troop". There are of course exceptions, but that triangular organisation is the norm.
I don't know about you, but I love the Otherworld miniature line. They look like they're taken right from the earlier player's hand books. And Bombshell miniatures also have some pretty nice pieces too. I've already have a humongous pile of shame...why not add more to it.
yup that was the point, the lad was signed up as a marine thinking he'd get to be a medic but they don't have them. It's the episode where gibbs goes undercover as a marine recruiter, against a sniper targeting marine recruiters.

Is anyone licensed to sell physical prints of your stl's?

The new Wargames Atlantic minis are fantastic and their MMF Tribes is an amazing value. Mantic has been having a great year too. Thanks for sharing!
Great to see those 10mm wargames Atlantic sets. I will definitely invest into these.
My brother is a collector would love ut
I've always thought about getting into 10mm. It looks like now's the time.

Nice one :)
It looks like Gerry cut his hair. Does that mean that he's lost his gaming strength?
nope still rolls badly even without it...apparently the poor rolling was inside the whole time
Great show guys, the plastic kit conversions of the Baron's War mini's look great.
Wargames Atlantic are also going to be releasing a range of square bases, sooo maybe linked to the forthcoming rules or not!
maybe, maybe not. Currently the plan is to do a range of rounds and squares that cover the standard types used by 28mm players
I wonder about swapping those medieval footmen’s heads onto my Bretonnian Men-at-Arms (forearms/hands as well with some careful work) to give them better proportions.
The GW Bretonnian Men-at-Arms look like they have dwarfism with their head & hands’ size.
Was wondering how well some or all those kits would fit in with the Bretonnians range..
Loving the look of those knights! So useful for so many games
Thanks for the show! This show has become a weekly treat, both fun food and comfort food.
The wargame atlantic minis look amazing! Time to prepare my paint brushes
The more I hear about BA#3, the more I'm liking it.
WarCrow looks nice, and those Silver Bayonet are beautiful
Are the Wargames models small compared to GW, Fireforge, and some of these other brands?

Particularly excited for the newest edition of Bolt Action myself.
Good weekend all. Hopefully getting some 28mm ecw minis painted this weekend

Even with no local players I still think i need Warcrow just for those minis
That Terminus Frontier looks way too much like Infinity Defiance.

New war games Atlantic minis will defo find there way into my crusades force
Here we go

Those peasants are lovely
Those wga models look amazing

It's the weekend.
Nice episode thanks!
love to try this out
Why buy that slug mini when you can just heavily varnish one from your garden?
they won't sit still until the varnish dries, it keeps cracking and ruining the effect
Perhaps you need to dunk them in thicker varnish?
other news
lots of wargame shops/websites gone dark this last week
from a server crash
Gerry, you have the footy final date wrong, its on Sunday. So any hangover for the xlbs Sunday morning is just down to usual drinking 😀
I've two finals this weekend got the football and soccer ones mixed in my head
Great episode as usual
Is John recording from the Stock Room or we expecting a really big hobby blog in the near future? 😋
We can't comment under videos anymore as TH-cam has yet again changed the bloody layout.... FFS.
Which Ivanhoe? there is a 1958 and a 1997 TV series, both released in the UK. The 1958 has Roger Moore starring in it.
1997 one
USMC has navy corp men as their medics
yup that was the point, the lad was signed up as a marine thinking he'd get to be a medic but they don't have them. It's the episode where gibbs goes undercover as a marine recruiter, against a sniper targeting marine recruiters.
nice prize!
Is this the wrong area to comment too have a chance at winning?
