22. SOMMERKONZERT DES INSTITUTS FÜR SCHULMUSIK

In den Schulpraktischen Prüfungen können die Studierenden der Hochschule für Musik und Theater Hamburg in besonderer Weise die während ihres Schulmusikstudiums erworbenen Fähigkeiten präsentieren.
Sie spielen nicht nur Liedbegleitungen und Improvisationen am Klavier, sondern komponieren, arrangieren und dirigieren eigene Werke oder Bearbeitungen, sie singen, sprechen und tanzen, sie spielen auf mehreren Instrumenten in unterschiedlichsten Besetzungen und Stilrichtungen.
Die Kreativität und die musikalischen Leistungen der Studierenden sollen in diesem Konzert, das im Jahre 2018 bereits zum 22. Mal unter der Leitung von Prof. Thomas Hettwer stattfindet, einem größeren Publikum präsentiert werden.
Das Besondere dieser Veranstaltung liegt zum einen in der Vielfalt der gebotenen Musik und ihrer Darbietung - der musikalische Bogen spannt sich von klassischer Musik in unterschiedlichsten Besetzungen bis hin zur Jazz-, Pop- und Rockmusik. Zum anderen liegt der Reiz für das Publikum im Mitmachen - dies ist eines der wenigen Konzerte, bei dem die Zuhörer mitsingen dürfen!
Die Leistungen der Studierenden in der Schulpraktischen Ausbildung, ihre phantasievolle und zugleich zeitraubende Vorbereitung der Examensprüfung sollen mit den Sommerkonzerten des Instituts für Schulmusik ein Forum finden, in dem sie die Höhepunkte ihrer Prüfung noch einmal (frei von jedem Prüfungsdruck) präsentieren können.

In the School Practical Examinations, students at the Hamburg University of Music and Drama can present in a special way the skills they have acquired during their school music studies.
They not only play song accompaniments and improvisations on the piano, but also compose, arrange and conduct their own works or arrangements, they sing, speak and dance, they play on several instruments in a wide variety of instrumentations and styles.
The creativity and musical achievements of the students are to be presented to a larger audience in this concert, which will be held for the 22nd time in 2018 under the direction of Prof. Thomas Hettwer.
The special feature of this event lies, on the one hand, in the diversity of the music offered and its performance - the musical arc spans from classical music in a wide variety of instrumentations to jazz, pop and rock music. On the other hand, the appeal for the audience is in the participation - this is one of the few concerts where the audience is allowed to sing along!
The summer concerts of the Institute of School Music are intended to provide a forum for the students' achievements in their practical school training, their imaginative and at the same time time time-consuming preparation for their exams, in which they can once again present the highlights of their exams (free of any exam pressure).
