It's dog people that perpetuate the idea that cats are indifferent and cold to their hoomans, not cat people. I love all animals, but I'm more a cat (and ferret!) person; I know they can be as lovey-dovey as dogs. Thing about cats is that you need to EARN their love, trust and respect; they don't just automatically love everybody, like dogs seem to do.
Officially it's people who aren't good with animals or children who say stuff like that. Hence why cats and kids avoid their grumpy asses.

Why do humans feel the need to cut the claws of Cats?! It's basically "unnecessary surgery", which is a severe breach of ethics, never mind what else it might be. If you can't cope with an area or two of your bloody furniture being a scratching post, then I suggest that you are attached to your sofa and not the Cat who lives with you... for some reason. Just a thought. I gave up with ideas of getting Cats to do as I wished and not as they wished long long ago... when I was maybe about eight years old. Then I grew up and accepted my position as Cat-slave and I couldn't be happier..... well I suppose it could start raining kittens or something, but generally speaking, I'm happy to serve Cats in any way I can. What could any ape do otherwise? I don't know; it's a mode of "thought" that I can't get through my head, it's not possible for me to fit my neural pathways to such an anathematic position... even thinking about it peripherally is oddly difficult. ❤️🐈❤️ Pussycats❗🥰👍
