Dereck, Been listening to Sonicity since Thursday. Excellent work. Beatific, seamless, transitions throughout. Joyous music over an early, hot cup of coffee or with a cold beer as evening sets in. Thank-you.
Hey, better safe than sorry, man. I wouldn’t go out in freezing rain AKA ICE. You’re doing the smart thing, and I prefer to wait. Oh, totally agree about The Famous Charisma Label! I love it, talked about it when I was showing off my collection of Spot The Pigeon Genesis EP’s. I couldn’t understand why in 1979 they changed it to that plain looking blue label. Why? I don’t get it, but many European pressings kept using the classic design with the Cheshire Cat. And I got a later Yes album pressing that is orange. I think it came out two years earlier than the blue one, but that’s beautiful too. Take care, Dereck!
I get the “hermit” tag sometimes. It’s really just because I live alone and am content with it. If I had a partner or a family people wouldn’t think that as much. I tire of memes saying “living alone or being single is ok”. But they frame it like it’s a temporary issue. Like “don’t worry, the right person will come along someday”. What if you’re content being single forever? Dying alone does not scare me in the least. There’s many bands that I’ve really enjoyed live, and a few more I’d like to see, who I don’t feel compelled to own any of their music, apart from maybe buying a single or shirt at the show to support them. Dereck, it’s killing me that I can’t support you and buy the last couple CDs you’ve issued. Money is tight as a drum right now. Haven’t bought anything new in months. But I’ll endure. Ebbs and flows. Cheers, Dereck! Have a great weekend!
Hello dereck, i saw some interesting records ! I really want to listen to the refugee album ! i love patrick moraz ! thank you very much and enjoy the rest of your week-end too !
I received my copies of Sonicity in the mail today. Thank you!! I also found my copy of my "Dereck" 7" It's a test pressing (#3) from 02 October 1982. I'm curious if you remember how many test presses of that record were made? Thank you Sir!
Dereck, how do you think, being a musician, YES would have soundwd over the years if Peter Banks remained in the band ? No Howe. I have several of Banks solos and they are very good, very jazzy, prog and innovative . Just curious how Yes would have sounded
congratulations on your sales!!! hooray!!
Cheers Dereck. Happy weekend!

BS strike still has a strangle hold! Have a blessed day Dereck! Cheers! ☕️
I like Sun Ra. His output and outlook feel are so different from any other player.

Probably 3. I don't remember.
Sadly that power tools is nowhere to be found in its entirety to listen to in all of the internet...

I don't think there would be Yes had he stayed.
