    I have that second plant but I think they've been mislabeled. Not a prince but more like an imperial red

    If u report the black cardinal it will stop getting the stuck leaves and if u give it more humidity mine was doing that as well but once I gave it more humidity and reported it it stoped getting stuck idk if it would help urs but it helped mine

      If I report it will it go on my permanent record?! 🤣 hehehe silly auto correct!! That's a really good idea! It been in the same not so great looking soil for way too long! Maybe I'll try moving it to a more humid room too n see if that helps! Thank you so much!! 🥰

    Is the big one behind u not a philodendron hope? It kinda looks like one and what do u have it tied up with it looks amazing 🤩

    • @planttherapii
      @planttherapii  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      That big guy is a thaumatophyllum bipinnatifidum but I think it's commonly called other (way easier to say) names 😂 I found the 'right name' by searching for philodendron selloum cuz I can't ever remember the name! I just have I all tied together with plant velcro but it could definitely use a garden stake to help keep it straight 🙃

    I it’s bugs I think mealy not sure of the name but I’ve use liquid neom oil got of off Amazon just dilute in water. And wipe down all the leaves and stems with alcohol it takes repeating a few times

      Oo good thinking! I've given it a good wipe down and chopped back the most infested parts so fingers crossed! 🤞🏼

    That xanadu definitely has scale! Insecticides don’t work very well because they have an armor, I would try spraying it with some alcohol and taking an old toothbrush and scraping all of the visible one off and then you can spray your insecticide just in case there are any crawlers. once they get to the mature age they actually don’t have legs anymore suction on plant stems and leaves.

    • @planttherapii
      @planttherapii  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I think (hope) I got all of them off. I love that idea of using a toothbrush to get them off! I probably wouldn't have cut it back so much 😅 and I had no idea they didn't have legs when they mature! Thank you so much for the info and for watching!!

    Your Philodendron prince of orange is really the autumn. I have one which was sold to me as a prince of orange. The leaf is a difference shape from the regular prince of orange and the leaves emerge burnt orange or reddish. I have had my plant for years and I wondered why mine was difference from the others I saw. Then I came across a photo labeled Philodendron autumn and it was exactly what I have. Great Philodendrons.

    I keep writing a paragraph then something happens and I loose all my work!
    3 times now, ahhh!
    Anyway, your Prince of Orange isn't a true PoO it's a hybrid or mutation. Your essentially getting Prince leaf shape but mcolleys finale coloration. Simply put you won't be getting that pink and orange unless you go out and get one with better genes... sorry.
    I grow both and could give more 8nfo but I've typed this comment three times and am all tuckered out.

    • @planttherapii
      @planttherapii  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      That's so interesting! Thank you for taking the time to share that info!! Now I'm gunna have to go down a rabbit hole of PoO vs mcolleys finale! 🤣

    Nice collection. Interesting to see a giganteum as an inside houseplant. That quite an aggressive grower and gets huge! Mine is outside( S. FL) and leaves are 3ft long. I just took 3 cuttings and these plants are unstoppable 😳
    What do you use to get all ur leaves so clean and shiny?
    Congrats and your collection 👏

    • @planttherapii
      @planttherapii  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thank you! Dang that's so cool your Giganteum is so wild!! Maybe I should try putting mine outside this summer?? 🤔 I don't use anything on my leaves! Occasionally I'll use a microfiber cloth or some microfiber gloves I ordered off Amazon to wipe them down! But I'm really bad about remembering so I usually only wipe down my largest plants a few times a year 😬

    • @aquaman461
      @aquaman461 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@planttherapii just be careful of temperature and only bright indirect light. Your plants look way cleaner than mine since I cant stop buying plants i cant keep up. I now, literally have a jungle 🌴🌿🌼😁

    • @planttherapii
      @planttherapii  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Oo okay thank you! Do you mean for the temperature to not get too low?? A couple people have said that my leaves look shiny and I'm starting to think it's my camera! Lol. I'm terrible about remembering to dust. The best they usually get is being put in the shower to get a good spray down and watering.
      I love that you've made yourself a jungle! I'm sure in S Florida you can have all the amazing tropical plants loving life pretty much anywhere!!😻

    • @aquaman461
      @aquaman461 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@planttherapii yeah since that's a tropical philodendron it won't be able to sustain prolonged periods of cold. We dip sub 50 several times a yr and mine do fine but I've seen leaf damage after a few days of cold weather.

    Your collection is amazing! Love your healthy big plants...so shiny and clean....your brazil is so bushy...love that look....and need to try to make mine more full again....I did see a red emerald at a local greenhouse today for like $42 in a big pot...do you think that is a good price?....so I was thinking of grabbing it pay day.....it looked perfect and I know from you and others it is an easy and fast grower....so exciting....I did find a xanado local once but all of them were covered in thrip...adult thrips....but I do like that one the way it looks...your black cardnal is one I think I would get too...your princess will be fine I think....I bet this spring it will take off...please update in a few months! Love your channel...keep up the great job!..snowing here in Duluth bummer...

    • @planttherapii
      @planttherapii  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thank you!! Philodendron are some of my favorites!! I'm not gunna lie, my Brasil was pretty full when I got him hehe. That does sound like a pretty good price for the red Emerald in my area but I always feel like a plant is worth whatever you're willing to pay. I'm usually pretty cheap so that stops me from buying a lot! I sure hope the pink princess pulls through...I've been thinking of moving it to a damp bed of moss because I'm a little more comfortable rooting with that medium soo we'll see!🤞🏼

      And jeez! Still snowing!? I hope it doesn't stick around for too long!! We got a tiny bit of snow last week but it melted the next day. I'm hoping we're done for the season!

      on the Xanadu, I mean. They put out poop that can cause mold, and can also transfer diseases. You could use systemic, or spray w/ a neem oil. It took me a few hours, but I was able to get most of them off.

    • @planttherapii
      @planttherapii  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Oo I didn't know they could cause mold! I ended up cutting all the really infested stuff and cleaned off the rest and sprayed! So hopefully it won't come back🤞🏼
