That means that after time more instruments and melodies will join. Normally this happens after 8 or 16 bars. So in the first 8 bars there is just a kick, the vocals and maybe another instrument (piano, guitar, strings etc.) playing. After 8 or 16 bars there will join other instuments and this is continuing till the drop. In the drop you can hear the kick drum getting faster and after the drop many DJs use white noises, so that the chorus seems bigger and full of music. But the most important fact is the progressive build up. Nowadays Progressive and Electro getting closer. Progressive is not that progressive as it was in it's beginning and Electro is way more progressive and the drop in both genres is quite similar. So the main difference nowadays is the fact that progressive house has an repeating harmony (mostly 4 chords with a variable bass and some difference in it.. i don't find the right words. What is mean is that sometimes they play a C sus instead of a C minor etc.). Typical Electro House does not have many chords. The bass plays the same tone all the time and there is not other melody playing. But there are cross-overs between progressive and electro :) Over all: Progressive House is "more like music" with all the aspects of music( Harmony, Rythm, Melody, and Dynamics) and Electro is more like kicking your ass with massive bass and godlike drops.
