Part 1. Demolition of the West Heating Plant in Georgetown (Washington, DC).
The west facade is being preserved to incorporate into the new building. First the facade is braced with a temporary steel structure, and then it is separated from the rest of the building.
The heating plant was built in the 1940s. It provided steam heat to government buildings.
