Best song on the album. I forgot all about these guys, but this is fantastic. Canada always seems to have some great rock bands come out of the great white north!

This isn't a bad song or album, though, it seems like an a new approach for them to reach new listeners and overall appeal to festival season. With a broader catalogue of styles from Ska to the melodic punk/hardcore and and onto Dead Language as well as Inviting Light...they'll do that. It's a generational talent from Canada. I can absolutely see these guys becoming a somewhat of a cult favourite just like the Tragically Hip. Obviously they arent there, yet, but I see plenty of signs of this gradual transition and progression of their craft. Fantastic musicians.

I know its a stretch but was that a green day homage in the opening line? just reminded of that song letterbomb i think

SassyJ I think the same ! I hope it was an homage and not a copy

every time I listen to this song my brain auto-completes the first line incorrectly. I don't think it's a reference but it does stand out.

I don’t understand the hate towards this song. Most of it is on behalf of the style change. Changing styles is about the hardest thing someone can do, even though it might be what they’re feeling. “Feel it, don’t fake it”, I’d just like for people to see the good in songs like this. Don’t condemn the feelings and writings of an artist, don’t stop
Supporting them, and don’t beg for something from someone when that’s not who they are at the moment.

You break my heart flatliners. You used to be raw, then you were rock, and then you were kinda indie and I loved you at each step. This is just soulless Indy music. You break my heart.

hahahahha 20 years or something of music devolopment. I never thought they will become so soft one day. Hope their audience will grow on rise. ......still wanna hear them play some old stuff live. if anyone with connection to the band reads this, then tell them i wanna hear ''Open hearts and bloody grins'' at groezrock. hahaha that would be awesome!!!! love this band. It will always have a place in my heart.

the producer needs to be fired for distorting Chris' voice... and rise records / bmg for overproducing :\ also sounds like the lp is accidently played at 33 rpm instead of 45 rpm ... too bad

ill give it to the flatliners, they can reinvent their sound as theyve proven before, but this is SO boring. wont be getting this album, wont even torrent it.
