thanks for the video, im a first year architecture student, and trying glues has been the most frustrating thing about making models... this is a great introduction, so thanks.

    nice vid!
    I also like PU-glues.
I even use PVA on foam, not on big surfaces though, because it will not dry.

Great video. I am covering my plane with a balsa wood skin. What type of glue should I use? I have read that the glue should be solvent base. Thanks

Hi I would use a glue like Aliphatic resin or Super Phatic. You should use a glue thats not going to leave a hard edge like PVA or cyano, as they will leave you with a ridge after sanding. When l sheet a model I tend to use a mix of glues. Some time including a little cyano just to tack panel in place until the Aliphatic holds. Also use plenty of pins and masking tape to hold parts until glue drys.

    Advice please -
I need to glue a small plastic piece to the plastic (?) covering on my balsa plane -
    a Leader 480
I've tried all these but it will not stick
    foam safe CA medium
    epoxy
    super glue (not foam safe)
    canopy glue
    foam tac
    Elmers wood glue
gorilla glue will stick a little but not great
I have never used hot glue and don't have a hot glue gun -
don't know if it would work.
What can I used to make a small plastic piece stick to the covering ?
