Hello all!:) tonight’s video is super random; I thought about perfumes I would have kept if they were either stronger or didn’t totally overwhelm me. Have you let go of a perfumes you LOVED because the performance was so bad??
I literally held Hugo Boss The Scent earlier and asked “Why can’t you last longer?!?”😩So I’m giving it to my niece. She’s starting high school in August and I’m giving her perfumes I don’t reach for. #decluttertime
I'm late to the hype about it but wish I would have watched more videos on it. I just received it yesterday and noticed that it did not last long at all when I sprayed it on my wrists. Super frustrating.
If you think about it, it's so unethical for fragrance houses to water down their fragrances and keep the prices the same. Anyway, these fragrances will lose their appeal over time and rightfully so. I've decided that from now onwards, if I really love a fragrance and want to make it one of my signatures, I'd buy two more back up bottles if my finances allow for it. I've had too many heartaches with reformulations and discontinuations in the past.
If the perfume doesn't last on me, I overspray and the issue is solved most of the time. Also moisturising the skin right before spraying... normally 20ish sprays and I smell it all day 👻
Private accord is one of the very first fragrances i bought... it doesn’t last long and have contemplated of letting go, but i can’t... i just love the scent so much ☺️
I truly appreciate the fact that you'll say your updated honest opinions on perfumes even the ones that you once really admired then had a second thought of ♥️
So true, when I bought shagaf oud and made my mom smell it she was like, I smelled this scent tons of times 🙄 I think its because swiss arabian ships internationally and has second sellers everywhere. I find AbdAlsamad Al Qurashi’s perfumes better blended.
Yes and that can be said about a lot of oriental fragrances and to be honest sometimes I wonder if what happened is the opposite and the famous brands are duping Middle Eastern local fragrances 😀
Hi, years ago I fell in love with Washington Square, Scent of Peace (for her) and Madison Avenue all by Bond No. 9 Purchased them at different times and every time I had to sell them. I’ve owned others from the brand but the 1st 3... I just couldn’t get enough of... but then like all of the other Bond scents they just fell flat after awhile. There’s something cheap or synthetic that happens to them, atleast on my skin. Soooo not worth the price
The Hugo Boss got me: I'm wearing it tonight. It really is disappointing. I'm actually glad you're doing scents you don't necessarily recommend because so often when you do recommend something I just can't resist. ❤️ I really am beginning to love Ani but for the exact same reason you can't do it. BUT, I truly haven't been able to enjoy the Hermès one although I do love pink pepper. Sigh
Nishane Ani is definitely tricky to wear. I find that if I’m careful with the atomizer I can get half a spray and I’m fine all day with that much. I love it too much to let it go
I feel the same way about Roses Vanille by Mancera. It’s a beautiful scent but spraying it once fills a room! I feel self conscious wearing it around people 😞
I have Twilly (the original) and like you it’s a love/hate, I wore it today and What I noticed is is that it’s soo strong and overbearing for 30 minutes or so and then it’s gone, no in between. I just need to part ways
Replica is sadly notorious for being weak and having extremely poor lasting-power. Such a shame, I would have gotten a few of them if they performed better
Poor Donna, I agree they definitely did her wrong 😔 the older formula was so much better, I think they changed something about the scent too bc the older one smelled more leathery and balanced to me and the newer one is more sweet. I am always looking for old bottles on consignment. I had an experience yesterday with Mon Guerlain Florale... the lavender in it is soooo strong and it was choking me out all day lol
Just got a sample of Replica Lazy Sunday Morning and the lasting power is also abysmal! I just can’t figure out how these perfumers justify the prices for these fleeting scents that last a few hours. It’s so frustrating!!
Hermes eau whatever is strong but lovely. I couldn’t handle Girls can do anything. Woah was that strong! Thank you for the review. It saved me from buying D & G Femme Intense
OMG I’m so saddened to hear your review of what happened to DONNA 😲. I remember the scent when it first came out. I got so many compliments on it. And I didn’t need to spray so much of it. I love Coach fragrances and blind purchased Coach Legacy. I can’t handle more than just 1 spray. It’s insanely sweet and chokes me out. Reminds me of sugar and teenage cheerleaders spraying this. Fun scent but definitely loud.
Hugo Boss the Private Scent Accord is a milk chocolate bomb on me, it's so strong. Must be a skin chemistry thing. Still not sure I'd re-buy because it's just a little too sweet.
Clinique Happy was too sweet. The worst headaches ever. I bought it years ago and it has been the only perfume that I've had that issue with. But because of that experience I check for similar notes before buying sweet fragrances.
Th original valentino was sooo creamy powdery and good smelling but i hate hate the new reformulation. It smells so similar to la vie est belle. I dnt know why people are reformulating fragrances that works for customers. I am really mad at the new dona
@@thesimplechiclife I have the original PUIG formulation and it’s beautiful. No complaints. Heard they’ve changed some notes since L’Oréal took over. Haven’t tried the new one but it’s a shame. It was perfect.
Hi, lovely video. I agree about pour femme d&g. I really love this perfume but wont buy it again because of sillage and longevity. Can you please recommend something similar but better performance? Thank you
I love Whispers in the Library, too, but it truly doesn’t last long enough. I have a travel spray I will use up, but I can’t justify buying the full bottle. It’s too expensive for how poorly it performs.
I have two perfumes that fall into both categories: Weak: Gypsy Water by Byredo, I absolutely love the scent but wish it was 1000 times louder.😭 Strong: Rose Gourmand by Zara. One spritz and you can smell the thing in the entire house for hours, it's literally intoxicating! 🤢
I really love these type of videos. I have problems with perfumes that have honey, oud and blond wood. I can not tolerate them. I owned hugo boss but longevity was maximum 5 minute for me so i had to sell it on mercary
I had to let go of Fracas by Robert Piguet and D&G pour Femme. Fracas was too mature and strong for mr and the D&G was too sweet and cloying. I almost felt nauseous the first time I wore it.
I can understand the Scandals. Fragrance with a honey note can be overpowering. Guerlain L'Instant is on probation; one spray chokes me out, and one sample dab from Bee by Zoologist filled the room and made my husband and I sick. I think honey just isn't my thing.
Serge Lutens Un Bois Vanille is just too much. I guess I’ve changed a lot since I bought it bc I just want to get rid of it now. I love love YSL Libre Intense but I feel like I can’t smell it after an hour
I cannot handle any of Hermes or Chanel parfumes because they are way too strong. I tried that JPG scandal a paris but the lasting power is weak, perhaps 2h on my skin.
Yes! I love Oud Ispahan but it’s wayyy too strong for me. This is so sad but I wore it out one night and people at the bar were like... omg WHAT is that smell? It smells like a barn! 🤣🤣🤣 well not to me but I guess it’s the opposite of a complement-getter! 😆
I feel the same way about Hugo Boss Private Accord. I tried it in store on a piece of paper and when I got back to my car the scent was already gone. So disappointing.
I’m the girl who almost choked on #youcantgowrongwontoffendanyone Si fiori😂 and find a lot of popular perfumes too much but love my scandal à Paris. Think you should give it a try.😊
It's very sad when they tweek perfumes! I find perfume from the 80s still sell amazing. Perfumes today can smell truly amazing. Then within a few hours they just disappear. Why do they mess around with the notes.? I'm from the French perfume trade. I also find they ruin perfumes by making them stronger. It definitely breaks the heart. I have about 63 bottles of perfumes. Plus they are my pride. Plus they are so expensive. Plus I love pretty bottles. I used to remember youth dew, by Estelle lauder. Plus Red door by Elizabeth Arden. I could not stand the smell. Very overwhelming, very overpowering. Lady's still wear those scents. I have to walk away. I guess my nose is sensitive to horrible scents. I had the same experience with valentino Donna. Puig has sold the Valentino fragrances to L'Oréal and since it's made by l'oreal it's really weak! I got an old Puig bottle from ebay and I love it
Scandal A Paris is much more tolerable and softer. If you can handle La Belle, A Paris will be an easy buy. They have similarities, but A Paris is daytime and smells like a day in springtime lounging and people watching on the grass outside a Parisian Bakery... in my opinion.
I agree with you on all but the scandal ( dont own so scandal yet) I dont thing is to strong but scandal paris iscthe softest and very nice perfume I wpuld think that would be the right scandal for you 😁
Yes, u r absolutely wright, those perfumes are weak, probably reformulated bottles, more and more of these are on the market. Hello all!:) tonight’s video is super random; I thought about perfumes I would have kept if they were either stronger or didn’t totally overwhelm me. Have you let go of a perfumes you LOVED because the performance was so bad??

Please let me buy Shagaf Oud from you!
Hey are you thinking of selling the Valentino Donna? I’d be interested in it :)

This video idea is brilliant! Always searching for that “in between” fragrance in terms of intensity.
Also felt the same about Ani! The opening was way too intense for me :( made me sad because I was looking forward to a unique vanilla fragrance
Oud bouquet has a dupe in every local Middle Eastern perfume store. People just happened to discover shagaf

@@mywaynoura Hahaha, with the trend of the past decade of adding and using a lot of Oud and Myrrh in Western perfumery, who is to say they arent 😌
Does anybody know a perfume similar to Hugo Boss Private Accord but with better performance?

I have never gotten a headache from perfume. I guess I am one of the lucky ones!
Really helpful video!! I can scratch a few off my list now. I won't waste money on weak frags!
Too strong: baccarat rouge extrait, I had to SHOWER this one off because of how pungent
it turned on me. Also Initio Atomic Rose
I feel the same way about L'Interdit from Givenchy. It reeks, I dont get the hype around this one.
