Yeah he’s a pretty solid Legendary compared to most. The Astral team is a little slow but SK can remove trauma + stun on his ult. I would not recommend bringing him into Dark Dimension though

Great video! Question for City - I have Peni, PBP, and Pavr at G19, but been hesitant to invest in Ghost and Noir. Would I be able to use the three-piece with Blade and Oath (but say only 4-5 star), or is it just worth building full Spider Society?
@@insomniaNY thank you! It’s worth building the whole team imo. They all provide something to really round out the team. You’ll be able to Auto those sections if you bring all 5. I will say though that Ghost is usually the one who gets subbed out so maybe a 4 piece + Blade is a neat idea. Blade is awesome on his own
Thank you for the video. I am going for APOC and then DD6 and higher. My question is on Cosmic node. I have endgame thanos, gorr and gladiator build up. But no Kahori or Vahl. I was planning to add Doctor starnge and Moon dragon which will help in building Astral team also. Your suggestion is Vhal and Kahori. I have only 3* Kahori, maybe 4* soon. I have a question, which one should i choose, Kahori, Vahl or Doctor strange, Moon dragon? Will really appreciate your response.
@@ashutosh0011 I would go with Kahhori and Vahl. Moondragon also has those great stats as well as Dr strange. You really can’t go wrong with any combination of 2 characters. But 100% Vahl & you can choose whatever 5th you want. Hope this helps!

Yes. Any character after Old Man Logan has NEW STATS so even a 4 yellow 4 red toon will be significantly better than any older toon prior to Logan release. Not only that, her kit is very unique & does so much! She’s gonna be a very good investment for you
Well it is only important if people notice that he has not played the content he is giving advise for , or just Auto-ed it after KRAKEning his account. There is no COSMIC LEGENDARY nodes and they are not the 4-5 last nodes in DD6 (I think in 7 too).
Amazing video but I have a question about vahl as I know he has some good benefits but everyone everywhere is saying vahl has massively fallen off of course you need to build him anyways for apoc with the msf original team but is he really worth fully building up still or is it going to be a case of a matter of few months he's garbage?
@@Twisted78 Great question, she is still the best dark dimension character imo but yes, her value outside of DD6-DD8 is not good. If you want an easier time in dark dimension, build her up. There are better choices for cosmic that will have more value outside of dark dimension such as Strange and Moondragon so it’s entirely up to you!

What about Alpha Flight? They're all global and you need to build them anyway for the spotlight raid, but I've never seen anyone mention them for DD. Are they somehow terrible in DD?

I don't know about Ultimus for the Mythic nodes in DD7. Some players in my old alliance/cluster brought him in and they regretted it. He did nothing. They said to put the resources into another character/level and gear a different Mythic instead. Maybe actually take the time to get the gear to build up Dorms. But all the feedback I've heard, that's why I kind of "froze" my Ultimus at gear tier 18 and level 95. I've heard too many complaints about taking him to gear tier 19 and maybe even level 100. Been working on my Dorms though. I got half the gear slots filled to 19. I've also heard mixed to negative things about Doom as well. He isn't worth it either. Dies too quickly. Him and the Doom Bots, so you can't build up the bots and then send them in to self-destruct and cause a whole bunch of damage. The enemies take out out the bots too quickly or they keep them down to one or two.
@@projectpat8807 Dorm is too expensive and his revives don’t work with Mephisto on the Second run. Dorm on the first run would be good. Ultimus is very useful late game in crucible and Arena so whoever is telling you not to, probably doesn’t rank high in Arena or play Crucible at a competitive level. The purpose of Doom is not his damage. He doesn’t have the stats for that anymore, you bring him in for the bots so they can eat some important abilities from the enemies.
I plan to bring Ultimus in and will probably not changed my mind still. Because, even if Ultimus doesn't do anything there, I don't think other mythic will do much either. Elsewhere, Doom is a joke these days. Dorm is more like a kit based toon that does his job well without red gear. At least I can use Ultimus as tank buster elsewhere and get him to red gear will improve his proficiency there.
finishing DD6 first run tomorrow. Gorr really did not help in 6, swapped him for Surfer and auto ran cosmic with: Gladiator, Thanos, Surfer, Moondragon and Vahl. Moondragon Striker ISO. I used CB, Hank and Shuri with Gambit and Nightcrawler for Global. My only observation for that team is it's expensive. Hank needed 3 T4's to run smoothly. I'll probably swap to Illuminati + BK & Cpt America for an energy battery in DD7/8. Shadow King was great with OML. Had him set to healer to help Dock Ock out with sustain. Omega Red was also still useful. Almost more useful than Black Cat. Imho, Dorm and Kestrel hold up way better than Doom.
@@SaltyCowFarms Gorr is better than Surfer on the Annihilators team which is the Arena Meta at the moment. I tend to cater my lists towards characters that have better value outside of just Dark Dimension as well. So characters like Surfer and Capt America just don’t cut it for me. I didn’t get to test SK so I appreciate the insight there. Lastly, the reason Dorm is not on here is because he’s Mystic and way too expensive and more importantly his revives don’t work when paired with Mephisto on the second run. Thanks for the update. I ran Xtreme BK and had a bad experience using Illuminati in Dark Dimension but people who care about crucible will build there rosters how they want to. Gorr has some cool utility but does get subbed out on the Arena team most of the time. Lastly, find me a dark dimension guide that’s updated with all the recent characters? I'm 1-yo account, currently in DD7 Legendary and DD8 City Villain. My view is as following: 1. Global (hero) You should consider Uncanny Avengers for Global (Hero). I know jury is still out for the performance of the whole team, but I heard good things about using just Beast + Storm with other X-Men (like NC); I'd assume full team would only be better. Main reason I vouch for this team is that, Spotlight II will require purple ISO (forgot if its 2 or 3) at the highest difficulty, due to its scarcity, if we have to upgrade this team for that anyway, we'd better double or tripple dip it. Also, Xtreme should be phasing out very soon, if you are not about to start DD run right this moment, I'd want to avoid bringing them too high. Don't get me wrong, I ran my DD1-6 with them too and they did a fantastic job; but that's 6 months ago. Also, another con for Xtreme is that hey are origin raid, which means you'll have to gather a huge amount one specific origin gear for single section can slow you down a lot. This will be a pro for UCA that is Spotlight Raid team and has mixed origin. Your roster will be a lot more balance using them. I'll be waiting to run my DD8 with them. 2. Vahl I understand that Vahl is still great in DD and being MSF original means it's quite certain there will be future rework for them, but Vahl is falling off elsewhere right now. Other pro you brought up does overlap with one other character: Dr Strange. He can revive, he attack for percentage, he will be needed when BW come back, he has new stat, and can be used elsewhere right now. Big plus is Stragne require only 2 red origin gears and his unique is Palladium, which isn't in high demand right now. The only aspect he lags compared to Vahl is energy battery, but on that front, we have Thanos that is doing the job, arguably even better than Vahl since Vahl get energy for themself, but TEG gives it to team. Before Kahhori, with TEG as only expose character, the battery might not go very smooth, but with Kahhori, I think 3 expose is arguably too much. 3. City Villain G18 lv100 is feasible. I ran mine at that level. It'll take 1-2 weeks per node, but doable; and since I don't have enough purple iso to run the whole thing anyway, I don't see the need to hurry (if you have, that's a totally different scenario). And just because of that, the choices open up a lot. I ran exactly what you suggest since, in case I have to bring them all to G19, I see value in all of them more than the rest while they aren't too gear heavy; but, since G18 is viable, I think Mysterio is a good candidate since he's very useful in many other modes. (Reason I don't bring him is he requires 6 pieces red gear)
I agree with your first point about X-Treme vs Uncanny. Good thing is they are both pretty easy to farm for early-mid game players so you could definitely consider building the newest raid team that’s going to hold a lot more value later on that also has new stats. As for your point on Vahl, 3 exposed is not too much. Before EGT and Kahorri you had to be careful about when to use Vahl’s ultimate due to its long cooldown. With this team, you get to spam it every 3 turns or so. Vahl, as it stands is still the best character with dark dimension callouts in their kit. No other toon in the game does 40% HP damage in any game mode other than Apoc empowered punch which hits for 60% HP. I get he’s not used much elsewhere but as you mentioned he’s an original Scopely toon and will likely get a favorable rework in the future. Great comment though!
@@Wahpoh Still, cosmic section in DD7 is super easy. I ran Strange and complete the section in 3 days. Vahl might help cut it down to 1-2 days, which isn't much different for me. My memory of DD6 faded, but I remember vaguely cosmic section was a pain; then again, that was pre-annihilator and cosmic choice was very limited, so not sure what's the dynamic there these day with new team. I imagine it wouldn't be too bad to run Strange? Not sure how it'll go in DD8, but until purple iso is more available, I'll be reluctant to put them on phasing out character; especially when cosmic is combine with Legendary and we have a variety of solid choice there. All in all, as F2P, I value versatility the most, so until Vahl has their rework announced, I still value Strange over Vahl. Also Vahl takes Osmium, which overlaps with TEG; putting more burden on your gear gathering.
@@ws.hicks0214 Cosmic section in DD6 is still complete BS (pre-loaded turn meters galore and neverending shields + Deathproof for days) - G18 3-star vahl (cos it is unfarmable for new players, unless you $$$$ or chip at the 2x per drop Incursion node with will take 6 months + to 7yellow ) is useless in this content - painfully slow, pathetic stats. G18 Doctor strange is useless in DD6 - pathetically slow, always gets stunned and dies before firing off EVEN 1 skill - I don't know if scopely did a rework on him but it seems they didn't. Also for new accounts created in mid november or thereabout - it seems that the REWORK stats bleed through to in DD and similar content (including campaign nodes - i just finished the city nodes of DD6 with Spider Society G19 (all diamond-ed and literally skill maxed - minus the basics) - I do Peni Ultimate on a wave that had few reworks - Falcon, Invisible Woman - all enemies with same buffs - all else BUT the reworks gets to red or dies - reworks - still in green. Kang is completely power-crept out of DD6 - G19 kang was getting one shot in both Cosmic node 2 and node 3

don´t have Vahl, but i see how good she is on paper! I used Doctor Strange. He is like a much worst version of Vahl. But i feel like Doctor Stranges Revive is bugged: i was able to revive 3 people altho i have the ability at 6...
Strange's rework made him very beffy so he's very hard to kill. His special does tons of damage and the revive is nice too! But what makes Vahl great is the % HP damage and the revives for sure.
@@Wahpoh well I built up my orchis they are about 3.8mil realized that’s not gonna work so now I’m tryna build my xtrem up. I just get killed so quickly it’s not funny like one hit and my characters dead or almost there. Like my BK is 700k an he don’t last longer than 10 secs

Dorm revives don’t work with Mephisto but his Kit I would say is overall better than Kestrel’s

You are correct. You can bring in just 4 to save resources or 5 toons to make it easier.

I ran exactly what you suggest since, in case I have to bring them all to G19, I see value in all of them more than the rest while they aren't too gear heavy; but, since G18 is viable, I think Mysterio is a good candidate since he's very useful in many other modes. (Reason I don't bring him is he requires 6 pieces red gear)
I agree with your first point about X-Treme vs Uncanny. Good thing is they are both pretty easy to farm for early-mid game players so you could definitely consider building the newest raid team that’s going to hold a lot more value later on that also has new stats.
As for your point on Vahl, 3 exposed is not too much. Before EGT and Kahorri you had to be careful about when to use Vahl’s ultimate due to its long cooldown. With this team, you get to spam it every 3 turns or so. Vahl, as it stands is still the best character with dark dimension callouts in their kit. No other toon in the game does 40% HP damage in any game mode other than Apoc empowered punch which hits for 60% HP. I get he’s not used much elsewhere but as you mentioned he’s an original Scopely toon and will likely get a favorable rework in the future.

@@Wahpoh Still, cosmic section in DD7 is super easy. I ran Strange and complete the section in 3 days. Vahl might help cut it down to 1-2 days, which isn't much different for me.
My memory of DD6 faded, but I remember vaguely cosmic section was a pain; then again, that was pre-annihilator and cosmic choice was very limited, so not sure what's the dynamic there these day with new team. I imagine it wouldn't be too bad to run Strange?
Not sure how it'll go in DD8, but until purple iso is more available, I'll be reluctant to put them on phasing out character; especially when cosmic is combine with Legendary and we have a variety of solid choice there.
All in all, as F2P, I value versatility the most, so until Vahl has their rework announced, I still value Strange over Vahl. Also Vahl takes Osmium, which overlaps with TEG; putting more burden on your gear gathering.
Cosmic/Lego DD8 is Mephisto, Sus, EGT, Logan & your choice of 5th. I did Glad then opted for Vahl.
Strange is a choice too though!
@@ws.hicks0214 Cosmic section in DD6 is still complete BS (pre-loaded turn meters galore and neverending shields + Deathproof for days) - G18 3-star vahl (cos it is unfarmable for new players, unless you $$$$ or chip at the 2x per drop Incursion node with will take 6 months + to 7yellow ) is useless in this content - painfully slow, pathetic stats. G18 Doctor strange is useless in DD6 - pathetically slow, always gets stunned and dies before firing off EVEN 1 skill - I don't know if scopely did a rework on him but it seems they didn't. Also for new accounts created in mid november or thereabout - it seems that the REWORK stats bleed through to in DD and similar content (including campaign nodes - i just finished the city nodes of DD6 with Spider Society G19 (all diamond-ed and literally skill maxed - minus the basics) - I do Peni Ultimate on a wave that had few reworks - Falcon, Invisible Woman - all enemies with same buffs - all else BUT the reworks gets to red or dies - reworks - still in green. Kang is completely power-crept out of DD6 - G19 kang was getting one shot in both Cosmic node 2 and node 3
@volf3r505 saying Vahl is trash in DARK DIMENSION complete invalidates anything else you just said, sorry. I know Vahl stats aren’t great but their kit alone carries them in this game mode.

don´t have Vahl, but i see how good she is on paper! I used Doctor Strange. He is like a much worst version of Vahl. But i feel like Doctor Stranges Revive is bugged: i was able to revive 3 people altho i have the ability at 6...
Strange's rework made him very beffy so he's very hard to kill. His special does tons of damage and the revive is nice too! But what makes Vahl great is the % HP damage and the revives for sure.

@@Wahpoh well I built up my orchis they are about 3.8mil realized that’s not gonna work so now I’m tryna build my xtrem up. I just get killed so quickly it’s not funny like one hit and my characters dead or almost there. Like my BK is 700k an he don’t last longer than 10 secs
