The vocalist mayu (ex-LIPSTICK as Sindy) is the one who assembled NEMOPHILA line-ups as the "mayu session" band and was on one-off show deal. She always wanted to have a band with nice friends who just happy to be there and having fun playing music they love. Her vocals had never been as aggressive before NEMOPHILA but, worry not, she already reported that she went to a specialist and fully understood why she could scream like that, so yes, she is aware of the risk. The bassist Haraguchi-san (ex-Hölderlins) is mayu's friend from high school. She is one of the badass bassist who started playing 5 strings Jazz bass from the very beginning, since high school. When asked why, she said it's cool and wanted to produce a lower sound than a normal bass. She had always lean towards Jazz bass due to its overall sound - more full, dynamic, and round tones. She still using her passive Jazz bass as opposed to Precision bass with NEMOPHILA and she like to freely adjust the tone dynamically with her playing style alone, not too dependent on electrical equipments... at least for now. Ibanez endorsing guitarist Hazuki (ex-Disqualia) is a true metal lover who love the tune of Arch Enemy. She started using 7 strings in NEMOPHILA and has a technical heavy metal playing style, very prominent in heavy riffing and systematic phrasing. She is also active as a solo guitarist supporting other musicians such as RAMI, Li-sa-X and SAKI (for World Guitar Girls Collection, WGCC). In 2020, Li-sa-X decided to form band with permanent line ups and Hazuki is now also a member of Li-sa-X BAND. Killer endorsing guitarist SAKI (ex-Destrose) is also a very technical guitar player and probably the most celebrated female metal guitarist in Japan. Besides NEMOPHILA, she is currently active with Mary's Blood (until mid 2022) and AMAHIRU - her project band with KREATOR bassist which also involves EPICA keyboardist and FEAR FACTORY drummer to name a few. She is the founder of WGCC, to bring forward female metal guitarist in Japan in 2017 and had been series of yearly events since then. Killer guitar launched KG-Fascinator Seven the Empress, SAKI signature model in 2019 to commemorate her 10th year anniversary since professional debut. Tama and Meinl endorsing drummer Murata Tamu (ex-SORAMIMI) really is a major score for NEMOPHILA. She have had the longest experience in the scene among NEMOPHILA band members and had been the most sought-after session drummer in Japan, covering many successful artists including idol group The World Standard (WASUTA) and corporate sound production group INSPION; also the prominent drummer in SAKI's WGGC since 2017. She started as Jazz drummer at the early age of 15 with guidance from Masahiko Noguchi at Saila Drum School and now she is also one of the lecturers at that school. Despite many artists want her to be part of their group on permanent basis, she was not ready to give up the opportunity to improve herself and gain more experience through her solo works and supporting drummer for various musician covering vast genres of music, until she met her 'sisters', the NEMOPHILA. Now she will keep on improving and bring along the wrath of NEMOPHILA with her. 🤘🏻
Yes more NEMOPHILA please. NEMOPHILA is such a fun-loving band and the more you delve into their material you'll see they truly have something very special going on and it translates into phenomenal music. They are working hard for their fans have their sights set on 2022. 🌸✨🌠
I discovered Nemo through their AC/DC cover, thinking it may be a bit gimmicky. How wrong was I! Didn't take long and I was hooked by their talent, with Tamu's smile the clincher.
The level of talent on the japanese metal and rock scene is unbelievable. I suggest checking Hanabie next. Yet nother amazing band that will leave you perplexed.

If you continue with Nemophila, prepare for fun, because they will take you on a roller coaster ride of different genres, and back again, and you can tell they have a great time doing it, which in turn transfers directly to their audience.. And they can bring the feels too..check out the song "Life" studio version (English subtitles) welcoming back the drummer "Tamu", they weren't sure was going to come back after her pregnancy, it was also "Hazukis" B'day..
You have to make a reaction to this video, it's a new song by Lisa X Band, it's like fresh air in an intense summer. Lisa X is a 17 year old guitarist and she is phenomenal, in the band there is also Hazuki, guitarist of Nemophila.
If you want to see my two vocal crushes in one song (Fuki from "Unlucky Morpheus" and Hana from "Gacharic Spin"), just do a reaction to DOLL$BOXX "Take My Chance" 😍
It is not only their insane talent and great beauty, it also that they Love what they are doing! It shows in all they do. I always recommend two songs to show how much fun they have together and that is Make You Happy and Minions: Banana song. They did these just to have fun, or at least that is what I think. Love them. Thank you for reacting to this video.
Nemophila are 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 Everything they have done is worth listening, to and some of it is the best music I’ve heard in decades. That said though, move along to Hanabie - you’re in for another treat. 😊
🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥Once this stupid pandemic is over and they can tour they will take over! I saw their first concert with an audience through their live stream 2 weeks ago and they melted my face. Check out Oiran live, Demon Light, Hypnosis, and Ratei!
As explained by someone below, Saki, the guitarist on the right, is a veteran in the scene. She's actually quite a mentor for a lot of new female metal and hard rock musicians. And she in turn is heavily influenced by the classic 80s hard rock all-female metal band, Show-Ya. Anyway, the so-called "gal metal" scene in Japan is quite incestuous -- If that's the right word to use, probably not. Lol. So, there was once a band in the early 2000s called Destrose, which didn't really get very far, although it had a major impact. It released one album, a few singles and a couple of EPs. The lineup was constantly changing. The best lineup for the band was on their full album. It's difficult to find good quality music videos on TH-cam simply because their record label really cracked down on them, mostly. Anyway, Destrose is connected to several subsequent and major bands in the scene -- because it had so many members coming and going. Saki, Eye and Mari were in the band very early, but they left and eventually formed Mary's Blood. Saki is also in Nemophila. Marina, the best singer that Destrose ever had, left and formed Mardelas. Destrose founder, Mina, eventually went on to form Fate Gear. Miho and Haruna eventually formed Lovebites! So yeah, if you follow the members of these bands, you're going to end up in some really interesting places. It's all connected together ... or a lot of it. I guess the scene is quite small really. Nemophila represents the new generation. And I kind of love the way Saki is in the band. Almost like she is passing the torch. Currently, Mary's Blood is on hold. By the way, sadly Miho has left Lovebites due to personal reasons. That's a shame. I hope she's well. :(
other groups's to check out out of Japan include Mary's Blood, Gacharic Spin check out Mindset song- also the Wakkagi Band that mixes traditional Japanese music with Rock and progressive rock.
These ladies are amazing. If they had these this kind of music scene there when I lived there. I never would have left. Any song you check out of theirs is a winner, be it original or one of their many covers. I discovered them by checking out KISS cover bands. I found one of them in full make up, covering Detroit Rock City. They nailed it. Then I saw them cover Nickleback, AC/DC, Iron Maiden, Pink, Bon Jovi and many others. I highly recommend RAITEI and Life next. With Life look for the one with the sub titles.
i love your reactions.you can't go wrong with any nemophila song and i recommend working your way through their catalog..they play around with both sound and style within the genre.i suggest "hypnosis" and "life" next so you can see all the different musical personalities within the band!
@@asenka11 yes, and the last videos are in mono - would be great if they were in stereo. I really love your vids and I share your love of Japanese rock/metal!
I agree, I also think Mayu has a really good fashion sense, and since you like this indoor with few colors shots, next song you should do is "Raitei" :D A few weeks ago I watched their livestream of their first live concert in front of an audience: it was phenomenal! The girls are always smiling and laughing and having fun!! And at the end they did a really emotional song "Life", and Mayu started crying and couldn't sing all the lines! It was really touching!
I have heard this song so many times before, but tonight while watching your reaction, I could hear Mayu's clean vocals in the background during her screams. I think her screams just grabbed my attention too much!😊
They're coming from a place where if a child shows interest in music, they will probably be offered piano lessons around age 3. And expected to give it everything they've got to be the best they can be. And if given a compliment, respond with "I will do my best" [implied: "to continue improving"]. So you have 23 year old musicians with 20 years of ferocious hard work to develop their talents, practice full days, perfect more techniques, invent more if possible. Continuous improvement. Never "resting on your laurels." Music schools require proficiency in more than one instrument to graduate. And for young girls, ever since Show-Ya blasted the door between women and hard rock performance wide open 40 years ago, the inspiration to honor what they started is still a big factor. And Show-Ya today puts on a festival of all-female acts every summer, and themselves still rock. Really loving music and being inspired to DO it, The talent to begin with, And the never ending work to improve. That seems to be the formula.
Its awesome watching you go down this rabbit hole lol. Some more great tracks from them are: "Demon Light", "Monsters" and "Life". oh and just an fyi theres even more all female Japanese bands for you to discover. lol but yeah i think doing live streams would be awesome!
My favorite Nemophila video is still Oiran, the version recorded in their studio. Currently, I am obsessed with their cover of Kishidan’s One Night Carnival. Check out both of those, along with Don’t Say Lazy.
That's my favourite solo section from the band. The tonal change when entering the first solo is fantastic. It's really gritty and it reminds me of the metal I was listening to in the late 80s.
Também adoramos a Nemophila, todas meninas. Para ver como elas são de verdade sugiro fazer um react da música "Life" da live que elas fizeram, aí você vai entender e sentir de verdade todo o potencial da banda. Ótimo react como sempre. Tks
Yes!preach sister! And there music metal scene is so cool. I’d love to see you a Japanese punk/metal fusion band! Your voice would be perfect for it. Good luck and I hope to watch a reaction to your new Japanese band
Oh my! Finally around to Dissension! Believe it or not I've been looking forward to this for months (long before you did "Revive"). Because of what you've said about guitar solos in the past and your enjoyment of Mayu on "Revive", my first thought seeing the thumbnail was "... we're gonna need a bigger boat."
It isn't the water and the food, it's the culture. The ARTS are still taught early in school and talent is recognized and encouraged. It's not uncommon for piano lessons to start at 3 yo. Mikado and Kanami as an example. The Tokyo School of Music was established to train/educate musicians for the Japanese music industry. Also you should watch the Sakura Gakuin videos, it's an idol group that is a training school for girls 10 to 15 yo for the Japan's entertainment industry. Babymetal came out of it. Some really good news is Band Maid will tour the US in 2022. More cities this time. "Monsters" is a great video to hear Mayu's range and to see another version of her sex appeal. Good reaction to an outstanding performance by the entire band.
Kid : Dad, I want to become musician and play in metal band Dad : Hmmm. Okay. But you must do it correctly and get your degree in music. If your band failed at least you can get a job as music teacher or something. Kid : Okay. That's why you get so many high skilled musician from Japan 😁
ill give you two suggestions that you will absolutely LOVE!!! watch the behind the scenes/making of this musice video....they are EXTREMEMLY ADORABLE! and then watch the live version of this song....it will blow you away !!! 💜💜😎😎🤘🤘
Nemophila is fire 🔥🤘🏻🔥🤘🏻🔥 next please react to their other song - RAITEI, Monsters, 鬼灯, Fighter, Revive, Sorai, Oiran, Ballad song - Life, Game Over. And some of their cover song - Rusty Nail, Kurenai, One Night Carnival, Megitsune.
In this beautiful video who knows why nobody notices that the girls, starting with Mayu, have small silver stripes in their hair that make them even more sensual than they already are, I think this video really gives the idea of the band's strength, much more than the REVIVE one, maybe because the half-darkness makes them more elusive and the music acquires more vigour in visual terms, NEMOPHILA is a guarantee of great music!
You have heard two very metal songs so far, you will be surprised by how broad their range is (: try "HYPNOSIS", "MONSTERS" or one of their covers next
Hi !!! Yep !!! haha like you, I'm obsessed with Nemophila, actually with two bands that curiously are only women haha Nemophila and the other is The Warning, it's a band of 3 sisters from Mexico that, although they are not completely metal, they play rock, but are the same extremely talented I recommend if you can, check them out songs like Choke, Evolve or Disciple !! really, you will not regret it! and please do not stop reacting to Nemophila!! hahaha Greetings!!! /o/
Yeah, Nemophila is amazing! There are so many good bands in Japan, not only for metal, but for all kinds of rock too. I'm looking forward for more Unlucky Morpheus ("CADAVER/REVADAC", "Angreifer" live video or "Unending Sorceress") and a little curious if you will get to know Yousei Teikoku and our majesty Yui at some point ("Shito Kanadeshi Hametuno Tategoto", "flamma idola" or "Shadow Corps").
Full week of NEMOPHILA, LOVEBITES, Unlucky Morpheus and please HANABIE also!! You have to react to HANABIE with their song "We Love Sweets" to be blown away once again. Thanks for the reaction Luna. You might want to fix your audio settings cause it only appears on the left side on my headphones when you're talking.
@@highjynxx you use earphones or headphones? Her music, Nemo's music etc heard on both ears too on mine. It's just when Luna's talking, her voice is only on the left side. And it's already on several latest vids of hers. I thought my earphones' broken, but when the music video starts it plays on both ears.
@@highjynxx and I read at least one other person commented here on the same topic too. But never mind, it's not really a big thing. It's still enjoyable either way lol.
I think U would work well with someone like Hizaki. Brilliant guitarist, strong classical influence in a symphonic metal sound very theatrical. Try Destiny the lovers by Versailles. Hizaki is the he who looks like a she,
Next song RAITEI(Thunder) this songs crazy dual guitars solo's and best outro), and next to react another all female Band HANABIE song We Love Sweets.... 😀
The thing I've noticed about Japanese fashion is that they are indeed well covered on top, but showing lots of leg and short skirts are no problem whatsoever.
You'd be surprised how big Japan actually is. It's long and thin. If you compare it to the Americas, it's as long as New York NY to San Antonio TX if you include the small islands, or from New York NY to New Orleans LA on only the main islands. If you rather a European comparison, that's Moscow to Tunisia including small islands, or Moscow to the Adriatic Sea for just the main islands.
Population in Japan is expected to reach 125.40 Million by the end of 2021, according to Trading Economics global macro models and analysts expectations. In the long-term, the Japan Population is projected to trend around 124.90 Million in 2022 and 124.50 Million in 2023, according to our econometric models.
Hai.. I am your subscriber from Indonesia and I really like watching your reaction videos. I want you react to a Japanese female band, HANABIE, entitled "REIWA DATING GENERATION". I'd love to see your reaction and opinion about this band. Because I'm also a fan of Jrock (Japan Rock). Tanks....🙏🙏🙏🙂🙂

Sorry for my first comment. Thank you for paying attention to Japan's Girls Heavy Metal Band 🙏. Japanese people don't like to stop and react in the middle of a performance. Please comment while playing the performance, or after listening to the full chorus. You are a bright personality and a talented person, who at the same time has a rich inner world and incredible beauty!
Blooming is a great track from them as well, with the bassist doing some vocals.
I assume you mean Miyako haha. But great comment.
Full week nemophila & full week unlucky morpheus🙌🏻👏🏼🤘🏻
Kid : Dad, I want to become musician and play in metal band
Dad : Hmmm. Okay. But you must do it correctly and get your degree in music. If your band failed at least you can get a job as music teacher or something.
Kid : Okay.
That's why you get so many high skilled musician from Japan 😁
Follow them on Instagram and Twitter and they share so much of their lives. Nice reaction. Marty Friedman actually did move to Japan for their music
Please visit Japan when all this COVID thing disappeared😀
Band maid as well !!
Love Nemophila!!!!
Japan might be small in size but it has a population pretty close to Russia's. High density place, that. High density of metal talent, as well. :-)
Japan has 126 million people.... How many heavy metal bands come from Finland, where there is total of 6 million people? :D
@@markoviitanen2671 Indeed. 1/3 of the population of my city but way more metal bands, that's for sure. :-D
@@markoviitanen2671 Finland has the most metal bands per capita, apparently. It certainly wouldn't surprise me.
don't forget the song LIFE whit same band
nice reaction😊
Nemophila🔥🤘
please next
HANABIE - WE LOVE SWEETS
ill give you two suggestions that you will absolutely LOVE!!! watch the behind the scenes/making of this musice video....they are EXTREMEMLY ADORABLE! and then watch the live version of this song....it will blow you away !!! 💜💜😎😎🤘🤘
Great reaction! next Unlucky Morpheus 「Dignity of Spirit」🤘
Next song from them "REVIVE"
Nemophila best out of Japan 🔥🤘❤️
👏👏👏👏👏🤘💀🤘❤❤❤❤❤nemophlila una banda unica muy buena reaccion
Somebody has already mentioned it, but you should definitely check out the video about making of this music video. :-) Lots of fun!
Hmm, I have in both ears.
@@fikryhasan5225 interesting. I was using headphones on my PC. I didn't try other videos.
@@highjynxx and I read at least one other person commented here on the same topic too. But never mind, it's not really a big thing. It's still enjoyable either way lol.
@@fikryhasan5225 Indeed :)
I think U would work well with someone like Hizaki. Brilliant guitarist, strong classical influence in a symphonic metal sound very theatrical. Try Destiny the lovers by Versailles. Hizaki is the he who looks like a she,
Don’t want to move to Japan… I’d go broke very quickly. I do want to visit though.
They just released a new cover of Journey today that is fire!
Next song RAITEI(Thunder) this songs crazy dual guitars solo's and best outro), and next to react another all female Band HANABIE song We Love Sweets.... 😀
I was impressed with the best reaction.
Next time, please give a performance to the Live girls! The song "oiran" is the best.
Please react to their Burden of time...studio version..
and another one band i fall in love, and i want show you!! ... "Aldious" - Scrash(new song)
The thing I've noticed about Japanese fashion is that they are indeed well covered on top, but showing lots of leg and short skirts are no problem whatsoever.
Mayuphilafied!🤘Can't wait you to see Hanabie band next 🌸🎌
To be a fly on the wall when Mayu lets out that demon scream when her children get out of hand.
Hey I need a cig and a shot after that song holy freakin jamoly.
You should have check Gacharic Spin song called I wish I . I'm sure you will not regret.
check out the live version of the song and your mouth stay open to the ground from epicness
Next reaction hanabie : we love sweet🔥
You'd be surprised how big Japan actually is. It's long and thin. If you compare it to the Americas, it's as long as New York NY to San Antonio TX if you include the small islands, or from New York NY to New Orleans LA on only the main islands. If you rather a European comparison, that's Moscow to Tunisia including small islands, or Moscow to the Adriatic Sea for just the main islands.
Bass player is my crush 😍and female Japanese bands are also more aggressive with their metal than the Japanese male bands I think 🤔,
Japan is not a huge country. But that is not a tiny country . If you moved Japan geographycally to Europe , it would be the largest country.
Population in Japan is expected to reach 125.40 Million by the end of 2021, according to Trading Economics global macro models and analysts expectations. In the long-term, the Japan Population is projected to trend around 124.90 Million in 2022 and 124.50 Million in 2023, according to our econometric models.
8:35 ramen, sushi, raw egg, tenpura, sukiyaki.
You need to check out Band Maid, they rock out!!!
I wish they were around when I lived in japan I wouldn't have left covid messed up my return trip
You should check out FATE GEAR : Battle Against Justice th-cam.com/video/cjiGGFW7jBE/w-d-xo.html another all-female Japanese Metal band. Their founder and guitarist Mina has had so many ladies under her over the years Miho and Hurana of Lovebites and SAKI of Nemophila to name a few. You could include them in your week of Japanese female Metal bands.
and a full week of Aldious and a full week of Gacharic Spin
Sorry for my first comment.
Thank you for paying attention to Japan's Girls Heavy Metal Band 🙏.
Japanese people don't like to stop and react in the middle of a performance.
Please comment while playing the performance, or after listening to the full chorus.
Japan's Girls Heavy Metal Band was derived from SHOW-YA in the 1980s and continues to this day🎸⚡♫
Top 3 for me are
1 NEMOPILA
2 LOVEBITES
3Aldious♫
SHOW-YA is still active and I respect them😊.
If a Japanese Girls Heavy Metal Band festival were held in your country, would you participate?
HAGANE will be a new comer in 2024.
EAST OF EDEN.
HANABIE.?
Also BRIDER Paradoxx
Gacharic Spin etc.
You may find your favorite BAND.
I don't have BabyMetal and BandMaid🖕
Everyone has different preferences⭕♫
Please continue to enjoy the reaction videos 🔥

Nice! Maybe check out《oiran》live 2021 or《life》😉🌸🔥🤘🏻
Miss A whatever you do , don't react to "Hypnosis". Your heart might explode!
Nemophila fanbase = The Flower-army? Translating from Swedish, Nemophila belongs to the Loveflowergenus!
日本に引っ越ししたらガッカリするかもしれませんよ?LOVEBITES.BAND-MAID.NEMOPHILA.etc...
What are we feeding them?. Japan has been feeding them the population of over 100 million and the world's 3rd largest economic power and political stability for more than 50 years. These have been nurturing our culture and art.
Don't forget about great music education.
react to "MONSTERS" is a masterpiece
Revive,, Nemophila
