I lost my mom last year so I appreciate you sharing the Mary Oliver poem. You’ve inspired me to pick up Devotions as I’ve never read any of her work before, but thank you for the slow and thoughtful content🖤
so comforting and beautiful 💕 I absolutely love your artistic direction, on youtube but also in the more “mundane” aspects of your life. like what you decide to capture amd how you capture it and incorporate it into your videos , the titles, the way you decorate and use your notebooks, how you talk about the books you read etc. what struck me and lead me to write this is the horizontal picture you chose for your channel. I find it and everything you share so unique and ethereal and cool. it’s truly refreshing to find someone who’s not just another content creator doing the same as everyone else and enforcing consumerism on us. thank you so much ✨
how do you know when a book is worth buying or deciding you want it in your collection? Do you decide before you've read them or after? I like the idea of being able to underline and annotate, and having the book without time restrictions- but I want to consume/buy as less as possible.
normally the books i buy will be by authors i've read before or i will read the first chapter and if i connect with the writing i'll get it. but i mainly get my books secondhand and don't make permanent annotations until the very end (will just place tabs while reading). if i don't love it i will just resell it on ebay or donate. also the kindle app is nice, i don't have an e-reader but will use this on my phone if i don't want to purchase the book yet 🤍
