Carigara, Leyte - Your Beautiful Hometown in Leyte

Carigara in the province of Leyte is where you can enjoy scenic highways, beautiful rivers and relaxing boulevard at the bay. The town also have a vast of farm lands or rice fields.
Carigara was named after Datu Gara, who's according to the locals, the founder of the town, who landed on the shores of Carigara Bay, with his clan of 77 members, sometime in 1379.
The municipality of Carigara is divided into 49 barangays. The town is also famous for its unique delicacies like pastillas and tools like sundang (machete).
