There are lots of shops along Kensington High Street that would love to allow Meghan to come shop in private outside of regular store hours (either opening early or staying open at night for her).

I think family is wonderful. And I hope for Megan and Harry are happy. This palace is absolutely huge!! So I doubt there all on top of each other- seriously ppl this place is extremely large. Also, Megan is used to cameras and paparazzi as an actress. I think more than any other new royal, she’s going to be able to handle the cameras and attention.

Before the Duchess of Cambridge had children she was often photographed shopping in Waitrose (a grocery shop), in clothes and department stores. She'd still be able to do those things for a while, the only difference is that she'd be followed by a couple of security officers.

She was happy during similar things before she met Harry...and so was he before he met Meghan....Now they will be during it together....two is better than one....You can't tell me being in love with a man like Harry, who has put everything on the line, to let the world know, how much he loves this beautiful black Queen....Now that is powerful! She will love him forever! for protecting her honor! She will never forget that!

Popping out for a bag of sweets will be the least of her problems. Her life will be a living hell from now on. A very opulent living hell, but there are many types of hell. She wont be allowed to express strong opinions on anything, she cant be political, she cant be too religious, everything she says needs to be considered, she will have a very limited social media presence - if any, all her visitors will be vetted and monitored and on and on.
Good luck to her, she's going to need it. I genuinely hope it works out, but the cynic in me says 2 years from now she'll be a 2x divorcee doing the rounds on American chat shows.

I dunno, she's already had to convert from Catholicism to Church of England - I cant imagine that was nothing for her. I hope she doesn't have strong religious views on abortion, because she wont be allowed to express them. She is 'owned' now in a way I'm not sure someone from another culture can fully appreciate. Like you say, it's not the Disney fairytale most Americans seem to think it is. I agree, I think when the reality sinks in, maybe a year or two from now ...I think she'll run.

I'm very dissapointed about Katie. Let the people ask her why did she have to cry? What did Meghan say to bring tears to her eyes. She did not want Harry to be happy. She thought she would introduce one of her friends to Harry later to marry him. She cried because of the rate of approval she received from the public. Then she cried so that the public will be on her side, especially when she used her baby girl. Meghan is a human being, very intelligent, double major degree from one of the best school in USA. After she finished high school. She was offered three scholarship but she followed her dream with another University.
She can speak English and Spanish fluently, and she just need to brush her French up.
