@@keyztroke you could say that, I mean, ever since the events of MGSV nanomachines were in the process of being made. Solid Snake has them, Big Boss, etc. Only reason why I'd say Armstrong goes "Nanomachines son!" is most likely since they're a new type.
@@Red-Robin2011 possibly...they could just be either advanced versions/made to be more durable and to withstand HF blades, or there are just a lot of layers, and since they are small, they only cover the skin by a few inches
