@@HAYDiCARTEL yeah, cuz you know my thoughts better than I do. I loved this era of music because people (delusional or not) were making stuff for fun just to test the limits of what could be done and it produced so many interesting tracks that wouldn't exist if people hadn't had the courage to try. Its so down to earth and humble in it's presentation whether Etienne intended for that or not. The low budget gives it its charm and its cool because it shows that music is for everyone even though it's a bit goofy, the guy is definitely skilled and talented in certain respects, again, regardless of however "misguided" his direction was. It makes me wanna root for him and see him play on big stages with some of the bigger heavier acts out there. He's kinda like an underdog in my mind and its fuckin cool to see. And even though the production level of his tracks is slightly amateurish, it makes it sound like the old school days of when you'd go to a show and discover a new band it was real heavy and raw and its just cool. I mean, I like insanely high tech production too but there is something special about Etienne and his musical legacy and I have a lot of respect for it.
