The cable repair guy was here and we could not get it to advance past the set up screen .. on the plus side , We did learn to say Hello in like 200 languages!!!LOL ( after a reset , due to issues ) we plugged / unplugged/ looked for a pin hole reset button , /,checked connections , preyed ;) etc. then you said hold menu and volume + ! And voila ‘ it allowed me to repair my remote and life is good again!! Ty ty ty :)

Well, it may be the FIRST time you helped me but this DID. Had been stuck in the LOOP to reset or restart for hours. So for giggles, I held down both the Menu & TV Screen (Home?) Buttons. Sucker RESET! All this after Apple tech support on phone "troubleshooting" told me it had to be returned to Apple! So much for "Genius" Bar and the like. They said the same thing...

I have a Marantz receiver with Direct Sat box in HDMI 1 and Apple TV in Hdmi2. I control it with a Logitech remote which is programmed only to turn on the receiver, TV and Sat box. For some reason Apple TV powers up when the receiver powers on. This causes receiver to change to Apple TV hdmi 2 overriding hdmi 1 that remote is programmed to. How do I stop Apple from powering up when it sees a power signal from the receiver?
