This video states it will explain how to adjust (teach) the sensor via teach-in button and potentiometer, but it only shows the teach-in button method.
How does this work for the potentiometer?

The easiest way is to mount the laser so it's not moving. Aim it at an object and move said object until the amber lights are tripped, but on the edge of being lost. Amber lights indicate that it's seeing something.
On top of the sensor there will be a knob labeled "Q". This is typically your distance adjustment. Turn that clockwise to increase the laser's range and counter clockwise to reduce it. So on your test setup turning the knob counterclockwise should shut off the amber indicator lights.
C'mon SICK, support your products with actual advice and stop giving folks the runaround. These parts aren't cheap.

Hello! I'd like to know what is the 'normal / funcitioning properly' led light state of a WTB4-3P3212S61 photo eye sensor. Should it just be the green light ON all the time, and yellow light ON ONLY when it detects something? Is yellow light ON ALWAYS okay?
