You passed by 4th avenue and 12th street which is where I grew up after moving here from southern Colorado. It was relatively safe in the 60's when we got here but it definitely got worse while I was away in the Navy. I got back in 1987. I found this video because lately i have been wondering if there is any documentation on the small stores on the East Side from the 60's to the 80's. I remember the East Side market with Kate and Andy I believe and Roy from Roy's market. I won't bore you with more. Thank you for the video.
I remember back in the 90s Eastside of Greeley was such a disaster because of all the gangs, the fights, and the stabbing. But now it's just a quiet place where nothing happens.
I rented a basement studio apt., years back.... It was one of the safest areas of town. The only problems were no problems. We all looked out for each other. Looked in on each other. And made all the willingness to get along
Can you please do videos like this for all of Colorado so that way everyone can stop moving to Colorado and if you consider this a hood I wonder what you consider ghetto hahaha
It's not the prettiest town, but there is a lot of food produced in the area that goes through Greeley. Also, energy. Probably more production from here than in Boulder. And, you didn't drive by the UNC campus and other better areas.
greeley's "hoods" are a joke compared to lakewood and pueblo's REAL hoods. colorado does in fact have hoods, but they're foolworthy. they look nice but are actually dangerous.
I grew up in this town and in a very gang populated hood, it ain’t near as bad as it was back in the 90’s-early 2000’s . All my homies took care of me down there: I’d walk down any of these places today nothin to trip about.
I'll be honest with you. Downtown Greeley is looking better than where im from in loveland right now. So many crackheads wondering around its sad. Greeley definitely better than it was in the early 2000s
North East is more of the "hood," even if you go to the west side there's car theft on a daily. For all those talking negativity about Greeley, please don't move there or move if you don't want to live there anymore.

Other side of the train tracks near island grove and by the mall are worse spots. This area has a ghetto look but it’s chill there for the most part
