If the "bolt" or striker was a bit lighter, and the action a bit better sealed, the gun could become self-cocking. If the barrel was a screw-on/off type, the action would be completely sealed, plus you could quickly swap barrels to reload the gun, or reload a singular barrel more comfortably, with longer matches, after it's removed. Also, the cocking handle could be placed on top to make the gun ambidextrous. If you add a front sight, then the cocking handle could act as the rear sight.
I think the simple form is good as it is so people can add their own touch and refine it as they like. Sometimes the tutorial video like this makes things too complicated
