  • 8 dives with great coral cover, especially hard coral, with some special critters mixed in.
Highlights: Numerous different colored frogfish, fish behavior, and some beautiful turtles.
Other Critters: Panda Clowns, Porcelain Crabs, Anemone Shrimp, Sea Snake, Nudibranchs, Hawksbill Sea Turtle, Green Sea Turtle, and so much more.
Dive Sites: Sawang, CG House Reef, Maite, Solangon, Buko Bar, Paliton Wall, Capilay Spring
I used a Cannon G7X. For the macro shots I add a Nauticam CMC lens.

This is an awesome video, Andrew. I just got certified to dive and looking forward to many more dives here in the Philippines where I have been for 2 years. Have fun and stay safe.

Good day Andrew, this is a wonderful video.
Would it be OK with you if we embed some of your videos on our Info-site about Dumaguete ans surroundings? We can do land-based stuff (as you may see on our Channel), but not under water, and we would like to give our site visitors also the options to see the wonders from down below. :-)

Hello Andrew! I'm "first" on your third video and I'm really excited!
It's really fun to see them. Quality and variety are very good. If I may say so.....
I first started UW videography 3 years ago and of course I'm a bloody beginner.
The first two holidays I used a simple red filter (from GoPro), then I switched to a (so I think better) red filter "MAGIC FILTERS". And I am very satisfied with the new one. I also need the "simplicity" for me and to get along with the basics first. I have to admit, I am a bit comfortable and therefore have not used a lamp yet, but I think it was the right way for me. Last year I tried to use my first lamp and of course failed in the half macro area ....But then I used them for normal angle shots and first of course I was happy about the difference with / without light! .....Light is almost everything :-).....
After the first enthusiasm I had to realize that a lamp is not enough. (Needless to say that my husband said this from the beginning). Now I have two lamps and I look forward to the next vacation, then hopefully use both lamps successfully.
Maybe you have one or two tips for me .... I would be very happy, if you take the time. Many Thanks!
I'm going to watch a few videos of you now and I'm sure that I will be very excited by these too!
I wish you wonderful diving experiences.
    Bye D.Banny
(By the way, please excuse my humble English.... I hope that my content is still understandable)

    Cool video.
did you use any filter to correct the color? (white balance)?

    • @andreweleighton

Thanks. I don't. The Cannon has great white balance (best of any camera I think), and then I also will do some color correction in post.
