As part of the continuing video series Stories From Saskatchewan's Great Southwest, this documentary explores the history of The Cypress Hills Interprovincial Park in Southwest Saskatchewan.
From trees to a park to a tourist destination, The Cypress Hills have been a major point of interest throughout history. The hills stand as the highest point in Canada east of Banff, and host Camping, Hiking, Fishing, Boating, Swimming and all sorts of adventures.
Before it was developed, however, the Park and the surrounding community underwent changes, struggles and even a music festival, before becoming the travel destination it is today.
This is the story of The Cypress Hills, a shining star in the middle of the Prairies.
