There might be sex in visual novels but it's much much more then that. Yes theirs ones purely meant to provoke fantasies but theirs also eroges which hardly have any sex in them at all. Where in the end labeling some titles as a eroge may more seem like an insult then anything else because people are usually turned off by such titles because theirs "sex" in them but the question is why... when sex is an every day occurrence and an expression of love.

今更ながら、買ってプレイしてみたけど、
エンディングを見た後すぐにこうやって感想を書きたくなるくらいに感動した。
分かる。序盤があれなだけで不通にいい話なのに、何故こんなに評価が低いのか....
トゥルーエンドの終わり方はマジで感動した。
