    Holy crap. I can't believe you've been making these wonderful, informative and entertaining videos for over a year and you have less than 300 subscribers. You deserve way more attention my friend.

      Ezado Please share the channel as much as possible. Older decks builds are super hard to find, which is why I created the channel. My goal is to reach 500 subscribers by the end of the year, so sharing is very much appreciated :)

      For real! I've been following since I found the channel about 6 months ago and share it with everyone. Drunk Shuckle is one of the hidden gems of the Pokemon community

    Love it. Would be interested in seeing more decks around the Gym challenge set. That was right around when i quit playing as a kid and I really liked the Blaine's Charizard deck video you made the other day.

    This seems like a disaster, yet it is a beautiful mess upon closer inspection. I love how everything checks each other. Scyther and Electabuzz checks Magmars weakness, Hitmonchan checks Electabuzzs weakness, Wigglytuff checks Hitmonchans weakness, Electabuzz can support Hitmonchan in the event the opponant has some flying Pokemon, and Magmar toasts any grass Pokemon floating around. Brilliant, and the diversity of colors, and low energy cost, means you can actually play to the opponant's weaknesses. I'm only curious though about using Switch over Scoop Up, though I can see the logic in speed over defense. Great deck!

    He's done it again. Another great video. Can the metadata stats be found online somewhere?

      It is a very limited resource since competitive play didn't log all of their deck info back then, but I use it as a representative sample for my videos: pokeplayer.com/topdecks/archives/

    I love your analysis of old school decks. Would you ever consider doing a ‘card of the day’ review for the cards from base - gym?

    • @shuckletcg
      @shuckletcg  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      I had thought about it but I didn't want to become too pandering with my content, with Top 10 lists and stuff like that.

    I just started getting into retro pokemon tcg today and I'm finding it difficult to find resources for a lot of things. Could you do me a solid and let me in on your secrets? Especially the resource you used early in the video showing the top percentage usage of decks for so long ago, it was labled with a red "metagame" at the top of the page. I would really appreciate the help.

      This is the resource I use for archived deck info, like what was shown in the video: pokeplayer.com/topdecks/archives/

    Have you ever considered doing decks for the TCG GB games using the exclusive cards in them? 🤔

    • @shuckletcg
      @shuckletcg  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Not a Giraffe I’ve had a few requests for GB deck videos. They are a bit tougher to do ba cause of the recording and editing but I do plan on doing a full series of GBC decks, but not for a while.

      @@shuckletcg surely it would be easier to record? 🤔 Use an emulator and cheat to get all cards 👍

    If i will use a double colorless I always remember to put at least 1 erika's Jigglypuff, this card have a good performance in decks with plus power and double colorless.

    Is there a way to make a Gengar/Raichu (fossil) deck work?

  • @skillracoonful
    @skillracoonful 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    I could be wrong about this but didn't potpourri also used rainbow energy?

    • @shuckletcg
      @shuckletcg  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes, a lot of potpourri builds use Rainbow Energy, depending on the lineup.

    Was there any base-fossil spread decks?

    • @shuckletcg
      @shuckletcg  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Fossil Raichu and Fossil Gengar could be used for spread, but not effectively.

    u Have a nice promo mewtwo deck or some with umbreon ? ^^ or Sabrinas Alakazam?

    • @shuckletcg
      @shuckletcg  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      I have a promo Mewtwo Haymaker on the channel already. Been working on a Sabrina's Alakazam build for a while trying to make it work. I think I've almost perfected it so it should be on the channel soon.
