- The final has been fought at the Dreynevent 2013 which took place in Vienna, Feb. 8th to 10th.
Arto Fama from Zward & Steen (NL) has won in an excellent way and display of his abilities.
Keith Farrell who fought brilliant bouts before was in the final only the second best contender. Never the less he also showed amazing skills and sportsmanship

Great fight! Both show a lot of skill. Definitely one of the better I've seen!
excellent work on both the fighting and judging!
Dreynevent has been an amazing axperience, we were there and we really enjoyed!
We agree with you, excellent fight.
Arto's signature technique, grappling. Very risky but also very powerful.
That's really cool he mentions Rory as his HEMA inspiration.
That being said both Rory and Arto I highly look up to as a lowly fencer.
Floor is horrible, fight is good ... sadly Keith exemplifies something Silver asserts and that is the man of noble stature will always have the advantage over the man of mean stature. In other words the taller swordsman generally has the advantage of height and range over his shorter opponent, Keith being the man of mean stature here. I have seen this quite often in Longsword, it means that the shorter fencer must adjust their game and be tactically sharper.
Both are using standard federswords from Peter Regenyei, normaly the weigh around 1500 g. Some more, some less
Actually, these are both Krstičič swords. :)
They're similar to the heavy Regenyei, only they flex from about the halfpoint on the blade. :)
Specs for these too are about 1,5kg, 7cm PoB and 133cm, I believe.
the weight of the swords?
What feder does Keith wield?
Hi John, as far as I know both are using feders from Peter Regenyei. Cheers Harry
Jesus, could they have a more slippy floor. Next time have them fight with rolling skates on =).
