  • Trusting God with your money, that’s what a lot of people in Congo do. They investing their salary in God. Spending your money on the church happens a lot in African countries, and especially in Congo. A lot of people believe in God and therefore they invest all their salary in Him. Giving all your money to church is what they do to receive a lot of fortune in return. Metropolis correspondent Paul Shemisi from Kinshasa, the Capital city of Congo, is visiting Mathieu. Mathieu is a shoe cobbler and repairs the shoes of the people in his city. Although he doesn’t receive a large salary by being a street shoe repair man, he invests nearly all his money in God. For over seven years, he has given to his church. He believes that whenever you give to God with pleasure, you receive a lot of income in the future. Mathieu thus believes that giving away your money, will benefit you in the end.

This happens all over the world, especially some “Mega-churches”. God said to give money to the poor, not to rich pastors!

or go back to their original faith? look at the land it would NEVER be so filthy if they had their indigenous faith; that honors nature & they themselves was responsible.[ no middle man ]. The Big Abrahamic religions dirty up the planet because they gonna get eternity in the clouds.☁️ ⛅ so they dirty up Earth surfaces with their "just us alone" mentality. ಠ_ಠ it grieves me so.
Because before they came along 🌍Earth was pristine.

"God will reward those that give voluntarily" but still get pretty much forced to give money.
If a god would exist and he would have made the universe, what the hell would he need money for?
People are gullible and always finding patterns where there is no pattern.

chronischtelaat GOD never said give me money , get your facts straight before you speak. GOD himself said that he doesn't need our money nor our animal sacrifices because if he was hungry he wouldn't ask us for food the whole universe is his.

@@honestbabe8581 I never said anything about God asking people for money. I merely quoted something said in the video. Get your facts straight before you speak.
It's these pastors that convince people to give their money. They use religions to gain control over people and get there money, but after all, isn't that what religions were invented for?

If the pastor truly uses the money to help others and improve the church then may he and his people have good fortune. If he does not, then may he suffer but may all of his people still have good fortune.

Garbage Head Yes, it’s good to give tidings but if too money ends up for purposes (eg, a lot of them go to the pastors of the church to invest for their own affairs) then that is bad. If the Church uses the funds wisely to spread the word by doing things such as helping the poor, improve the church to ultimately build it then yes, that is the way it should go. If the church misuses the funds I would feel quite bad for him. God wouldn’t Want the church to function that way and let pastors use tidings as an excuse to give them more money, but the money from tidings should truly go to and glorify god.

The giving of money in churches is therapeutic to the givers through the eyes of their faith. They feel good about themselves and about the God they serve even if the money might very well buy the pastor's Bentley especially in the Mega Churches. If the pastor is happy then God is happy with them too, they believe. So the people have hope for better things to come and wont have to focus on their struggles in life. Faith and spirituality is good, I acknowledge that, but there is an element of brainwashing with religion. You are brainwashed from birth and most people don't even have a chance. Truly, Religion is the opium/opiate of the people. Most people are so drugged up they never recover to grasp onto reality. But, I guess, as long as people are happy right...

VPro Don't Be such An Atheist Channel, we know that the priest need money to for a living, building church, the priest have a family. I would say that the priest can get 10%-20% cut of the money given to the church, rest should be used for buildings, furniture, mucic instruments, electricity, and for helping the poor in need, if there's many money left, they may consider build clinic or hospital, school, or orphanage.
The people should be judge to whom they trust their money, don't mocking the church.
If the priest can't be trusted, they should find another priest and another church
