This is USA calling... ...And this my favorite UK punk LP of 1978. And that's saying a LOT since that year also INCREDIBLE albums by the Clash, X-Ray Spex, Penetration, the Lurkers, Generation X, Siouxie & the Banshees, the Buzzcocks, the Jam, the Stranglers, Sham 69, the Rezillos, the Adverts...
I can't believe that I'm replying to my own comment from 11 years ago! I first heard Do It Dog Style in the 70s: a truly remarkable album which still stands the test of time! Just too original! I also reiterate that this era of punk cannot be bettered!
I'm with you on that one. Even though I wasn't alive during the first wave of punk in the late 70's, I do believe it was the golden-age when punk rock really changed everyone's point of view towards society. Looking for something new, something to change and even to shock.
One of the best albums in my collection. ! If you aint got it get it and the cover is to die for !!! Do It Dog Style. No we dont care yryryryryryryryryr.
I agree mate brilliant like hell I'm 58 Punk Rocker from Motorcity Stuttgart Germany and grew up with the live at roxy wc2 record abd that was the first time I took notice of S&D " we're Slaughter and the Dogs and somewhere from the back somebody shout's Butcher and the Cats) aaah memories ☠️💣☠️ have fun
Slaughter & The Dogs broke up unfortunately? As a Very First Wave Punk Rock Band way back in 1979? Or 1980? & I never had a chance to see them Live In Concert? Within the Very First Wave of U.K.Punk Rock? However? They fortunately did get back together as the Original Band Line-Up! Re-Formed! & Toured In The U.S! & U.K! Back in the Mid to Late 1990's! & Currently in the U.K! I saw Slaughter & The Dogs Live! opening for The Dickies! & They Were Incredible! Awesome! & Brilliant! & Just as Relevant! & Important! To The U.K.Punk Rock Scene! Like fellow Punk Rock Bands @ that Specific Time Period In Musical History! The Vibrators, The Lurkers, Eddie & The Hot Rods,The Boys,The Kids,X-Ray Spex,The Adverts,Eater,Wire, Penetration,The Fall,Siouxsie & The Banshees,The Undertones, The Buzzcocks, Johnny Moped, The Damned,Sex Pistols, Generation-X, The Jam,& The Clash! & Stiff Little Fingers!
I seen everyone in 77 78. And the dogs were as good and better than most..Manchester's music ploitocs kept them fr being bigger and better..they don't care and where have all the boot boys gone are classics now..be warned if you cover them the dogs are real are you..
I have a Very Rare! & Still Very Hard to Find? Original Pressing of this Very First Incredible Album! & Record! By Slaughter & The Dogs! On the Damaged Goods Record Label On White Marbel Vinyl! Limited Edition! One of the Very Best! & Most Important First Wave Punk Rock Albums I Have! & Own! In My Personal Album & Record Library! & Collection! Sitting Very Comfortably! In Retirement Mode! In my Milkcrate next to The Skels! An Incredible! Awesome! & Brilliant! Punk Rock Band from New York! Who sound like The Replacements! & Stiff Little Fingers! The Skids! U.K.Squeeze on a Very Rare! Still Very Hard to Find? Strawberry Marble Vinyl Record! & Every Original Album! Record! & Very First Pressing! From Stiff Little Fingers!!

This album should be praised as one of the BEST of the first punk wave. Pure masterpiece
Amen to that
One of the finest punk albums of all time.
Hardcore punk, crust punk, d-beat, ska punk, crossover, all kinds of punk are great. However, first wave punk will always be the best kind.

I agree. I love how the riffs were composed in first wave and they always put those super short guitar solos lol
Sam Farrow in retrospect, the music doesnt seem THAT shocking today, but it was groundbreaking, and that its legacy.
hippie crust punk fuck off!!
MagnumPineapple27 totally agree
Strongest ever, always. From my childhood to manhood this fortified my spine and very constitution

Thee dogs danglies. 🍒

I think the guitarist was a teenager when he was doing these guitar riffs - amazing! Did anyone manage riffs that good at that age other than him?
Best punkband ever.
