For some reason, Litchi didn't let me publish this - I suspect because the length of the mission and the length of the video differ due to me speeding up some footage.
Why? It is not a No Fly Zone, not within 5 miles of the airport, never above 400ft (or even 300 ft) above the ground, not over traffic, not over people, line of sight, not controlled from a moving vehicle... all the FAA rules are adhered to. What is the issue?
Best views I ever saw of the tower. I lived near there in the early 80s & hiked there several times. Long before drones were invented.
Thank you!
Nice flight! Beautiful footage!
Gorgeous vid!
Very cinematic. Anyone who harasses you about legality is a freedom-hater.
Can I use this video for a school project? Will give you credit :)
Vibrantly Grey no problem
Have you published the Litchi mission for this? I couldn't find it.

Not to be a downer, but this can't be legal.

ManxCat73 I see, so you followed the grade of the mountain.
Exactly. I started off at 200 feet, going to 400 feet at the very base of the mountain, and then raised the altitude sharply to follow the grade.
Sounds like you have your bases covered. Do you know why they still post it as a no drone zone?
It's not legal. Talcott Mountain is a state park, and drone use in a state park is illegal in Connecticut.
