I've been living in JP for 35 years . I was born in Dominican Republic and my parents brought me to JP when i was 5 years old .JP is the best. I've noticed you didn't show any businesses towards the other side of JP from Zestos pizza heading towards Jackson square. My aunts are the owners and bakers at Gondres bakery the best bakery in JP also my cousin's are the owners of Miami restaurant best Spanish Dominican food in town and my great friends are the best tailors at centre street tailors . JP forever ❤

Thank you for the additional information! I wish I could cover every single business in these videos but I'm trying to cap the duration between 15-20 minutes in length. I did used to go to Centre Street Tailors, they are great! And I know I am missing a great deal of businesses, some of which I'm admittedly less familiar with but I am sure they still put out great food/products/services. I appreciate you as a long time JP resident taking the time to supplement the information in the video with additional tips for people and I hope to see more people do that too!

Great video! I have actually lived in JP for 24 years now and have no intention of moving!

This past week, I went to the cemetery for the first time. It is one of the most beautiful and peaceful places I've been to in the Boston area. I highly recommend it. I lived within a stone's throw and will be making this a new place that I will frequent.

As a JP resident for the last 20 year or so, I would say you nailed it on this video.

I moved to JP 10 years ago and will never leave! I find Soup Shack a bit overrated, but JPizzle and Brassica is 10/10! I sadly haven’t been able to get a table at Tonino yet but I keep trying. Espresso Yourself and Boomerang have sadly closed, they were two of my favorite haunts. Some new great places have opened in the last few months as well, like Hub over by Chilacates and the fish market next door.

Thanks for the great tips! I'll have to check out some of those newer places that have popped up!

No mention of the Purple Cactus!?!

Sadly no, but I love the shoutouts in the comments, always great additional tips and recommendations coming in from everyone. Intention is these are more neighborhood overview videos than phantom gourmet videos but Purple Cactus is solid! (I always just found my way to Chilacates)

Don't be fooled it works for 2 yrs then better to move. These areas are full of crime. Drug addicts and porch pirates. Still needs work. How these homes sell for close to a million is a mystery to me. Born n raised in the area.
