HISTORY:
Lee Williams and The Spiritual QC's is an American quartet gospel group originating from Tupelo, Mississippi which has been in existence since 1968, but did not start recording until the 1990s. The gospel quartet recognize themselves as the number 1 gospel group in the nation, and includes Lee Williams as lead singer, Al Hollis as guitarist and background vocal, Patrick Hollis as background singer, Leonard Shumpert as second lead vocalist, and new full-time bassist Tommie Harris. Lee Williams was not known as the lead singer of the Spiritual QC's until 1998. Lee William and the Spiritual QC's went from being a part-time gospel group to recording artists who travel 50 weekends out of the year.

I cried like he was part of my family. Since I was a child all I ever wanted to do was see him perform live. I never got the chance but I truly thank God for Lee Williams because his praise keeps me going through his music. Never got the chance but I sure am going to miss just knowing he is no longer here. I was raised in a household with a dad that sang and played guitar in various gospel choirs when we were growing up. We enjoyed going to church and listening to the songs performed by traditional gospel groups local and national as they visited the local church's in Durham, NC. But it wasn't until my younger brother Randy introduced me to the sounds of the Canton Spirituals and Mr. Lee Williams and the Spiritual QC's out of Tupelo, Mississippi. His music gave me a life-long appreciation for Quartet music and years later I'm still inspired, motivated and blessed by this very talented and blessed man of God. Rest on Mr. Williams for your mansion in heaven awaits it's new owner.
