New Zealand had only ever lost to Australia before. And this was, once again, a scoreline of five to nil. This is amazing. These guys should be so d*mn proud of what they've done. There is at bare minimum a 1 in 11 chance of Solomon Islands going to the World Cup in 2026, as there are 11 nations currently competing in the OFC. I can easily imagine these guys increasing those odds tremendously over the next few years. (edit: New Zealand lost to Tahiti while playing down a man 1-2.)
