Yep. Me too. I also leave the detergent drawer open. I use the Clean My Space formula 1 alcohol, 1 water, 1 teaspoon detergent, a few drops of the favourite essential oil and clean the inside and the door. Same for dishwasher.

I heard leaving the washer door up will help eliminate order. By drying it , wont allow mold to grow. I keep my open.

Could you do a video on bleaches, chlorine and nonchlorine, which to use, how much to use, etc.? Do we have to use the little built-in bleach portal? Seems it’s not enough so I end up waiting for the washer to fill up and add it myself, then soak. However, with these machines built for water conservation, sometimes there’s not enough water in there to add it myself without ruining the item. Help!!!

I had that issue too and Squeegeed my doors daily.

Great video as usual, Melissa! Thanks! Laundry problem: my dog sheds a lot so aside from using lint roller sheets or running my gloved hand on the garments before washing to remove some of the dog's hair, do you have any brilliant ideas? (and yes, I do brush my dog regularly but still...). And the second problem to be solved by those tech geniuses: again about dog shedding a lot in the house, wouldn't it be great if we could have a robot vacuum that not only vacuums the floor but also vacuums the air and any surface where dog hair clings to like furniture, curtains etc. Something like a flying robot vacuum... Unicorns...?

Nice tips! I would like to add that I prevent the wearing of my clothes by washing them inside out. There is wear of course but only on the inside, because this is where it gets rubbed with the other garments. And because I air dry them I also do it inside out so that the colours don't fade on the outside ;) Crazy but it works.

It seams every TH-camr I watch that’s American/Canadian has these huge capacity washers and dryer’s and I’m so envious, I’m Australian and I live in a small house which has my “Landry” combined in my small bathroom, it has the laundry sink and then because the taps are above where my washer goes I could only get a small combined front loader washing machine/dryer, I wasn’t able to buy separate machines and stack them. Do you know of any tips on how to maximise a smaller capacity combo washer/dryer. I have mine, my husbands and my toddlers (I like to do his stuff separately) plus linen and towels, but I feel like I can never get on top of anything because of the Landry setup at home. Love your channel and your tips are great 😊

I would love a laundry robot or a robot that dusts everything! I'm talking about baseboards, blinds, ceilings, light fixtures, and furniture. My allergies would be grateful lol. My biggest laundry issue is that our machines came with our rental so it's always had a weird smell and a weird residue in the lint trap. I'm considering replacing the "elephant trunk" and deep cleaning the machines with Carbona. Btw I love the dryer sheet alternatives, I will be purchasing those as well. THANKS!

Mellisa, I recently encountered a cleaning situation I never anticipated. I had to clean the vent on my dishwasher. I regularly throw in a Afresh tablet and run an empty cycle but noticed "crud" not explained. My husband popped out the cover inside and found something so unexplainably gross I can not even describe. Another cleaning place not thought about before.

PET HAIR! If there was some way I could get the cat hair off my clothes in the wash that would make my life, but sadly I feel like I have to lint role any garment dark enough to show it and just put up with it on everything else. Even towels! Sometimes I dry off after a shower only to look like a Sasquatch afterward.

Thanks for the tips. I cannot solve this laundry dilemma for years, I searched online, nothing. When I wash new precreased chino pants the first few weeks they look great, then suddenly in the next wash the crease line color fades drastically even when I always wash them inside out, even with different chino brands, even different detergents, it ruins good pants. Why does this happen, and is there a way to redarken the crease lines. Thanks, great channel!
