That's because the Influence of the 90's was so Great & Magical, it did not end in 1999. It extended all the way into the 2000's. The 90's influence did not really end until probably 2010.

I was only a baby at the time, but I think my favorite thing about 94 was when all the Land Before Time sequels started. One of the best animated film franchises ever.
VH1 was losing to MTV at the time so they threw caution to the Wind and made some great TV between these types of shows and "VH1 Behind The Music" to compete. It legitimately killed MTV and turned them into Ridiculousness Marathons, but VH1 spent so much money on it that they also went bankrupt.
The only I don't like is them making fun of Nancy Kerrigan. That was a big deal and she didn't deserve that. She was just a figure skater and a damn good one at that. Tonya was good but a very messed up individual who couldn't stand being the underdog.
Kerrigan was a bit of a Diva and overly egotistical. There is a reason why back then the outrage was minor for what it should have been. She was considered to be a complete bitch so the reaction was really "oh, no that sucks for Nancy...what's for dinner?"
This is the only VH1 "I love the..."/"World's Dumbest" that Tanya Harding was not on...4:49 is the reason why. They kept her out of the show for the whole decade because of the Incident.
I love how this show is a perfect time capsule of both the 90s and the 00s at the same time.
