By far THE best video on replacing just the INNER rack end on U tube. No English but so understandable. Thank you 👍
Thank you for watching!
Thank you man. I want to start buying some of your parts soon for me and the girls 02 Montero.
I have a 2004 montero sport. Can I use the washers for gen3 for the montero sport?
did you experience any symptoms of failure before tie rod replacement?
No, I was replacing the control arms and figured might as well replace the tie rods - steering did tighten up a little though with the new parts.
@@lusollc995 well my rack was bad .... ugh
Stupid question. He showed the play in front wheel
@@Garlicpatches hey guy, i replaced everything in my front end and still had a problem, as a 40 yr old mechanic i was trying to diagnose if i missed something, which is a lot more than the internet tech troll you've displayed yourself as.....
Is the process the same for a 2004 montero sport?
Sorry for the delay, no the procedure is quite different since the Sport does not have rack and pinion steering.
Did you apply any grease at any point ?
No, the OEM parts come greased and sealed for life.
You replaced both sides?
Yes, procedure is identical on the other side though the boot and outer tie rod part numbers will be different.
