Your travel journal is so refreshing to look at. I have not seen travel journal as ring binder. It's unique. The business cards , ephemera with your writing is giving me courage to just capture and log about the memories without the pressure to make it pretty. It's bit difficult to let go the urge to make journal pages aesthetically pleasing and in the end ending up with blank journal pages. Thank you for sharing you travel journal. I really like it.
You've reminded me of my first attempt at a travel journal (in a regular size TN) and I totally cracked under the pressure to make nice looking pages and stopped about 3 days in. You're right this binder method really helped with that perfectionism since I just hole punched things in without too much thought on where it should go on a page. I still got some paralysis from some of the spreads where I had to use stickers but I'm slowly getting past it ^_^ Hope you try this method out next time you travel journal and lmk if it works out :)
Yeah! I haven’t really seen ppl use ring binders as travel journals but I thought it might help make it easier to hole punch things in without worrying about sticking them nicely to a page! Another problem I had with bound books was that I would leave so much of the notebook empty after a trip bc I wouldn’t need all the space 😅 ring binders helps with that too!! Hope you try using it too :)
