Having worked in media production in the past, this is not a surprise. “Waiting on deliverables from third party” is a thing and messes with everyone’s schedules.

Deadlines like what Irys is talking about are often abundant, so yeah, it not being Cover's fault makes sense. For example, some of our old washing machines here where I work, which is a laundromat, were leaking and needed new plumbing done. We also had gotten two new machines, which needed to be hooked up at the same time, so we had to wait for those to be delivered first. And then, even after those were delivered and hooked up, someone from the plumbers reused parts from the older hoses we had instead of new ones, and we had them spraying water everywhere, so we had to hold off on letting people use the older machines (even though the new ones were fine).
Stuff like that sucks, but there's really not much you can do if something goes wrong and delays the work :( just hope everything works out for our nephilim!

Working as a software developer, this happens all the time. You have multiple things to do, but scheduled in a pretty chill way so that you don't have to do too many things at once. But then task 1 gets delayed due to delivery issue from other companies, and suddenly the stuff I have to do for task 1 and task 2 overlap in timing when they originally didn't.

The word IRyS is looking for is "outsourcing". Projects live and die by it. SUPER convenient and excellent use of one's network, knowing a guy-a specialist, hopefully-for each facet of the project. But each guy has their own projects to deal with, and no one really knows how tight everyone else's schedule is surrounding their contributions. Someone might be working on only that thing, others might cram their part into the next 24h because they already agreed to 2 other projects starting immediately after. God forbid you need them to revise something later.
Ever heard a Holomem "wonder if someone in-house" can do something or has a certain skill when brainstorming projects? That's to avoid outsourcing when possible.

And this work crunch, when you depend on the work of third parties to get through your own slice of action, is why time and resource _buffers_ are so important. You gotta give yourself extra breathing room because no matter what, SOMEONE is gonna drop the ball and tighten that belt.

I work on construction design that tackle a specific system but you just can't make your work without the corresponding outputs from other trades or specialist
for example if you work for electrical system you can't make the design without the plan layout (from Civil and architectures) and loads you need to supply power to (mechanical and electronics) and if even one of those has changes or delays it will become a domino that will affect the whole project

Similarly, if the talent has to say no as vociferously as talents seem to be having to, it implies that there is a change of focus towards studio time to a point that they don't like. Either way, as long as it is the choice of the talent and their health and will is respected then I don't see a problem with it, although cover might want to take a step back and realize Hololive is for vtubers, not idols and those are different things, because it might harm them to push them into an idol role.

well I can't blame you people knowing the recent events.
also, defending a million dollar company (not the talent) is a concept I don't understand.

This is what made Aqua, Fauna, and Chloe made them leave. You can't stream and chill. When I was at management in the past, schedules were so toxic that there were so many deadlines and sleep is almost non existent. Destroyed my health and for 2 years I gave up. Rush work isn't my style and can't barely keep up.

Did you actually watched the clip?

Oh look someone who comments without actually watching it. THE TALENTS DECIDE HOW MUCH WORK THEY DO. Chloes reason is her health is getting too bad. BOTH Fauna and Aqua literally said they don't regret the idol path THEY CHOSE to take. You're literally wrong on all points. Management my ass.

Yeah I didnt watch the clip and sorry for misunderstanding. I commented on this when I was about to sleep not thinking straight. I'm so tired of work but this doesn't mean I should comment without understanding the clip. Sorry guys😅
