Because US one of the most ‘immigrated’ to countries in the world so there is a constant bombardment of people wanting to come in or sneaking in. Many countries around the world have very strict immigration policies, can’t quote ya specifics here as I’ve read/heard about them randomly at different times but everyone thinks the U.S. is the worst, most racist and yet many many countries are just as harsh. Difference is US is a big Capitalist country with a lot of money & opportunities so more people want to come here. Most immigrants are economic opportunists.

When you put your belongings in the plastic trays at the scanning machine, always count how many trays you have used, so that after scanning you can count them again to make sure you have collected all yours belongings. Also, collect your most important tray, which has your wallet, documents and keys, first. What happened to you happened to me also many years ago, but ever since I started to count the trays, that has not happened again. 2. The rude treatment you received at the Boston airport is not unusual or rare. It happens to almost all travellers who look obviously like foreigners. Keeping calm is the best thing one can do. Once they asked me to remove my shirt and T shirt also. But what can one expect from security men and police men who once strip searched a female Indian diplomat after arresting her. (I think her name was Devayani, the news of her strip search exploded like a bombshell in Indian news papers, but created barely a ripple in USA.) As you said and what I realized, US may be materially and law and orderwise ahead of us, but when you speak of any society we mostly speak of Humanity, and I don't think they are as close to their other aspects in this regard. US has a massive border problem with illegals. Millions of people try to cross the border each year and a lot of them with fake passports so they're very very strict around the border areas and airports. It's nothing personal.

Same happened with my parents when they visited US in 2016 But the opposite in Japan last year. The Japanese were top most in terms of politeness and humbleness. We actually made a mistake with some papers, but they checked our passports and let us in hassle-free.

Because US one of the most ‘immigrated’ to countries in the world so there is a constant bombardment of people wanting to come in or sneaking in.
Many countries around the world have very strict immigration policies, can’t quote ya specifics here as I’ve read/heard about them randomly at different times but everyone thinks the U.S. is the worst, most racist and yet many many countries are just as harsh. Difference is US is a big Capitalist country with a lot of money & opportunities so more people want to come here. Most immigrants are economic opportunists.

A very nice video, like almost all your videos, full of useful information and always with a personal touch. I wish to say two things: 1. When you put your belongings in the plastic trays at the scanning machine, always count how many trays you have used, so that after scanning you can count them again to make sure you have collected all yours belongings. Also, collect your most important tray, which has your wallet, documents and keys, first. What happened to you happened to me also many years ago, but ever since I started to count the trays, that has not happened again. 2. The rude treatment you received at the Boston airport is not unusual or rare. It happens to almost all travellers who look obviously like foreigners. Keeping calm is the best thing one can do. Once they asked me to remove my shirt and T shirt also. But what can one expect from security men and police men who once strip searched a female Indian diplomat after arresting her. (I think her name was Devayani, the news of her strip search exploded like a bombshell in Indian news papers, but created barely a ripple in USA.) I think you handled your situation as well as one could expect. Be safe, and travel with care.

As you said and what I realized, US may be materially and law and orderwise ahead of us, but when you speak of any society we mostly speak of Humanity, and I don't think they are as close to their other aspects in this regard.
Strict law and order is needed where there is lack of trust and apathy todards others. Thats where we(India) are heading by mindlessly following west in every aspects.
Material wealth will only bring comfort and convenience it will never bring Happiness. If you look at every activity that you do day to day, we are only seeking timeless happiness.

HAD SAME EXPERIENCE WITH US POLICE WHEN I ENTERED USA BY BUS FROM CANADA AT BUS STOP I MISSED MY NEXT BUS AND WAS WAITING THEN I LEFT BUS STOP TO EAT SOMETHING AND THERE WERE 2 OFFICERS AT BUS STOP THAT TIME CHECKED MY PASSPORT AND OBCE I LEFT SOMEONE PHONE GOT STOLEN AND THOSE 2 POLICE OFFICER START SEARCHING FOR ME AND FOUND ME WALKING IN STREET AND STOPPED ME ON ROAD AND TOOK MY BAG START SEARCHING ME ON ROAD AND MY BELONGING. HAD VERY BAD EXPERIENCE.
US has a massive border problem with illegals. Millions of people try to cross the border each year and a lot of them with fake passports so they're very very strict around the border areas and airports. It's nothing personal.

Same happened with my parents when they visited US in 2016
But the opposite in Japan last year. The Japanese were top most in terms of politeness and humbleness. We actually made a mistake with some papers, but they checked our passports and let us in hassle-free.
