inspired by all the angsty post-Lonely!Martin fics. My headcanon is that Martin's explosive, bordering unhinged behavior after season 4 was him overcompensating for not actually feeling anything 95% of the time.
Also I just love the idea of Jon putting so much effort in taking care of Martin. Not just because he loves him but because it's a way for him to take back control after hurting so many people in his life. (also makes for great parallels since Martin took so much care for him when Jon took it for granted)

God, I love how Jon is the only coloured piece when he appears at the end, and then Martin regains his colour. Really shows how he's becoming grounded.

The way you animate Martin in The Lonely as honestly breathtaking, the wind rustling his hair and clothes is so well done. Even if its a small detail it really makes it come to life. And don't even get me started on the way you animate the water, honestly I really idolize you and I love your style + how you expertly convey emotion

Oughhh I love the concept of Martin still being intrinsically tied to the lonely even after Peter’s gone
He still was in season 5. His domain was a hybrid of the Lonely and the Eye. He even summoned a clone of himself because he didn't want to be enticed by the prospect of being alone.

This is sooo wonderfull, i love the shakiness and how u FEEL the wind at the sea shore and how muted that landscape feels which deepens the sense of solitude AND THEN the transition to UNDERWATER where the shakiness of the wind gets replaced by the stillness its so captivatingg
The whole effect of martyn in the lonely being colored with just white and once exiting, still being colourless as symbolism for still feeling the effect it had on him
this might be me being too analytical but the shot at the end of Martin looking out w/ his white hair facing us only to then turn and face Jon showing his original hair colour as becomes more himself again is some gosh darn good symbolism :)

It is done!! The colors truly add another layer of the impact to this animatic! Especially how it turns black and white in the ocean scene and color returns back in the house and even more when Jon joins ❤

How does the lonely manage to make Jon look colorful, the man’s color scheme is white black and brown 😭😭 like a skunk
My color scheme for Jon are warm earthy colors which makes him stand out to the Lonely/Martin's cool tones

This is absolutely beautiful. An expertly made visual made for this song. It even gave me chills by the end, when Martin's eyes became solid and he almost drowned before Jon helped him come back to reality. Great interpretation of the lyrics also. Your artstyle is lovely and you have such a talented language of colour. First video I've seen of yours, only makes me want to keep coming back for more. Liked ❤

Another fantastic video. You really highlight the underling doubts that Martin has in S5 in such a beautiful way. I've gotten into Martin's headspace a couple times, where you have to put effort into believing in your personal worth and knowing others care for you. It's easy to think sometimes that you could be removed one day and everything would be fine since others are so strong and you don't feel like you contribute much overall.

Everytime I’ve watched this video (many many times) and think about them and their past I have a very visceral reaction… this song is so perfect for him and … “I fell in love with a war, and nobody told me it ended” … Martin really has gone through so much manipulation regarding the “war”… and to think the only reason he was smart enough to know that he wasn’t important to the war, was because he’s never felt important to anything…

1) YOUR COLORING AND COMPOSITION ARE THE STUFF OF LEGEND. i’ve had several attempts at animation and there’s just something in your work that never shows up in mine (practice i’m sure but the compliment still stands)
2) you changed jon so he’s laying on his back in that one scene didn’t you 🤨
3) i feel like i had a third thing but i dont think i do so this is just more commendation. your lonely!martin is so solid idk how to say it. it feels so *right* and it’s so cathartic to watch a character i relate to have complex emotions that aren’t “boy lemme go slave over someone’s happiness today”
