The young and very capable DA Ministers of the GNU are shaking things up and bringing positive change and progress to our beautiful country!! Well done DA!
Sounds good and all.but let's get attention to things that can and will make a difference. Like a sewage power plant ore WWTP aka waste water treatment plant. Using methane rich biogas to generate electricity and heat ....AND clean water! For environmental sustainability. Biogas solid waste left over can be used for soil supplement for plants. This will create JOBS!
While wastewater treatment plants (WWTPs) and biogas projects have potential, they are not a universal solution to South Africa’s economic and environmental challenges. These projects are capital-intensive and require significant technical expertise, making them challenging to scale in under-resourced areas. Additionally, focusing solely on such niche solutions might divert attention and funds from broader systemic issues, such as education, infrastructure, and industrial diversification, which have a more widespread and sustainable impact on job creation and economic growth.
The DA's collaboration strategy may not guarantee broad-based growth and jobs, as its success heavily relies on aligning diverse political, business, and public interests. Moreover, cutting red tape and driving investments, while essential, are not sufficient to address systemic challenges like inequality, inadequate skills development, and infrastructure deficits. Effective national economic policies require inclusive, long-term approaches that transcend political agendas, rather than limited success in select DA-led regions or spheres of government.
One step at a time. The DA are now in National government for the first time but they are not fully in control so have limited ability to make real change. Don't forget to vote DA next time around so that they can make even more significant changes.
@@ProcaviaCapensis-ts8ub While your concerns about systemic challenges like inequality and infrastructure are valid, the DA's collaboration strategy is a step in the right direction. Cutting red tape and driving investments lay the groundwork for sustainable economic activity, creating an environment where businesses can thrive and job opportunities grow. While these efforts may not solve all systemic issues immediately, they demonstrate a practical, results-oriented approach to governance that prioritizes action over rhetoric. Broad-based growth starts with measurable, localized successes.
