Wrong/incomplete information regarding RBI policy. The policy states - In cases where the loss is due to negligence by a customer, such as where he has shared the payment credentials, the customer will bear the entire loss until he reports the unauthorised transaction to the bank. Any loss occurring after the reporting of the unauthorised transaction shall be borne by the bank.. That means if it's completely your fault you have to borne the whole amount and it does not limit the amount. And in case of other fraudulent reason liability is limited which is quite obvious.

I got defrauded by scammer as they got OTP through email even though I have enabled two factors authentication for my email. Even SBI CC did not provide me transaction number to lodge complaint with cyber crime portal.

You missed to mention that credit or debit card usage limit can be fixed/ changed by app or online banking as and when required, which can save us from misuse beyond specified limit .

Sir recently mene housing nam ke ek application se mere credit card mese 70k apne bank acc. Me transfer kiye he but wo amount credit card se debit ho chuka he or bank me abhi tak nahi aaya .. coustomer support vale bol rahe he ki 2-4 din me aa jayega ...agar nahi aaya to muje kya karna chahiye??

The banks are maybe intentionally or unintentionally helping these scammers. The periodic kyc is a big reason people listen to these phone calls from scamsters posing as bank service agents trying to help kyc and in the process help sharing data with multiple parties. When my adhaar and pan are not changing why banks need periodic kyc when someone has a track record of spending within India and therefore not changing resident tax status??

Is there a chance to be scammed if a person's phone screen is broken and he gives the phone for screen-repair. Normally, it takes 2 days and they keep the phone with them. We also don't know to whom our local repair guy takes the phone to get repaired in the city.

He means to say that international transactions get approved based on CVV alone. But for India there is OTP also so that's why they need it.Remember don't disclose ur card details anywhere and keep international transactions always off whether debit or credit card.
