Cool man! I'm an American from California, and have been living in Kolkata for the past half year. Also I've been watching you're videos since you started out you're TH-cam journey. Glad to see you cover Kolkata as its definitely one of the best cities in India. Looking forward to future vids, just stay safe and keep on keeping on! Peace and Love, Jai Shri Ram!
Thank you, Will come again.
I hope you are feeling safer than in “Oakland” yk💀
P.S I’m from Kolkata living in Bay Area.
@@Z3U5.0greturn to India then, all will welcome you
@@Prakhar2410 Much better than what I was expecting, I was previously living in UK and India is a much better place to live in.
@@Z3U5.0g That's funny, I'm originally from the Bay Area too, Pinole CA, just a bit NW from Oakland. Yes had some crazy times in Oakland, but tbh I will always feel safest in my homeland no matter where I am. Hope Bay Area is treating you well, I'll have to visit again sometime. Peace ✌
May Maa durga bless you.. Long live Bengali culture..

If you are in Kolkata, don't forget to visit the suburbs like Serampore which was a Danish Colony and Chandannagar which was a French colony. It's a 30 min train ride from Howrah station.
wow ppl their really proud of being a foreign colony. pathetic.
I'll never tire of your India videos mate, always authentic and respectful of the people and culture. You're just a genuinely good person and that seems to be in short supply these days. Ram ram.
very true.
The way you stayed calm in that heat is really commendable. Really India needs to do a lot better in terms of trash management. Great video.
Kolkata is not underrated but most popular place in the world. 5 Nobel prize from the Kolkata, highest in the world 🌍. Kolkata is known internationally as a intellectual production city and cultural city in the world.
Name those 5 Nobel prize winners
@@snehashispanda4808 Rabindranath Tagore , Amartya Sen , Mother Teresa, CV Raman ,Abhijit Banerjee and Ronald Ross
Culture is very vague. Name some good movies that have produced in the last decade ?None. Culture is synonymous with money and industry. If there is no money culture also dries out. Bengali film industry was at its best in the 60s, when it was economically the strongest in India as well

Yeah man, this is the safest city of India❤
😂
@@SheldonCooper0501why you laughing mate ? According to you which city is safest?
@@ANIK-qk9mz any southern city or Mumbai is relatively safer than Kolkata. Safety in Kolkata is joke 🤣😂
@@SheldonCooper0501and this is your opinion or based on some facts?
@@SheldonCooper0501yes southern states and states in North east are safer, but not mumbai.specifically South kolkata is safer and central kolkata is not safe..
Kolkata is The Living City, because it has a "soul". None of the cities in India have got that vibe which Kolkata has, but the current scenario is responsible for its decline
Agree
Love the videos. Ancient history is 1500 years ago or more, so colonial India is not ancient. I’m a stickler for language, I find it makes communication more clear.

Very good coverage & commentary. Nearly 7 decades ago my parents from Trichy, Tamil Nadu came here and I am part of Bengal's rich culture that has practically turned me a Bengal-Tamilian person since my birth around 5 decades and a half.
People often compare this part of India with the rest with all negativities without knowing geographical impediments the state is having. It once attracted both educated peofessionals as well as daily workers and offered immense potentials in industries that saw natural clossures due to evolving advancements and demands of daily life. However, having said that, one has to agree that the metropolies of Kolkata has opened new avenues too and made considerable progress. One should not keep a blind eyes to the facts.
Anyway, I enjoyed your coverage. Kudos 😊
best time to explore these old architectures is to walk these places in the sunday morning. 😌
I am glad to see you back to India. Hare Krishna
Who said it’s underrated ? Which one is then overrated ?? I am an Indian staying in India since 50 yrs , never got this approach …. all cities have their positives and negatives brother , all the best 😊
Kolkata was one of the best and rich city in India before the takeover of Communist party as state govt. Now it's still good but lost it's glory.
Still the 3rd richest city in India.. and again it's growing
@@shibamdebnath254 it's now growing at all... that isn't call growing (compare to other states)
@@sayanbiswas757 state ? 😂😂😂 Bengal silicon valley hub fintech hub? Is that for 🤡? 8% gdp growth rate of Kolkata for 🤡?
@@sayanbiswas757 it's lagging somewhat compared to others like but It's growing no doubt. Easy availability of water will be gamechanger in future.
@sayanbiswas757 Kolkata probably one of the worse cities to live in rn.

Beautiful City. Nicely captured. Best wishes from Kolkata 🇮🇳. I Like & Subscribed!
What I believe is, in 2075 India will be the most beautiful country on planet earth, at that time India will have less population, less people, less pollution, more jobs, full of culture and history like this will not happen in any other country.
What makes you think that?

Welcome to kolkata india❤🎉
love from ny
Kolkata was 2nd most important city in British Empire after London.
i've heard from old people kolkata was like europe of india. after independence The Communist government destroyed & now pro islamic government is ruining this city.
Lucky that you people or your choice of people were not elected by people of bengal and kolkata to run the place. Just look at rest of india where your so called non pro islamic govt has been in power. You people are shameless and blind to the core
@@ABO-Destiny I think it's enough time for you Abdul, to be on the phone . You can keep down the mobile and lick didi's shoes . And because your so " glorious " TMC no youth wants to live in kolkata . I don't think you should be calling " others " blind. Because you feel lucky that cpim and tmc ran west bengal , are you happy that now bengal is not even close to what it was ? While southern states are living happily developed despite they started after us ( not kerala, even though they have literacy bengal couldn't achieve , they are still being run by your lucky government cpim. ) mumbai and Delhi beat kolkata in everything . And you'll still say kolkata by any means is a good place to live lol ?
Winter is a very pleasant time to be in Kolkata. Temp goes down to about 11 degrees at night and highest stays around 26 degress in the day. Book fairs and other leisurely activities grips the city.
I just subscribed! Welcome to my City of Joy - Kolkata. Please also visit Newtown, Eco Park and more posh areas of our city too.
Please visit mayapur iskon temple in west bengal
3:43 it's Sunday and it's holiday and office also close that's why u cant see any people
I am from Kolkata, thank you for visiting us ❤
You’re such a free spirit 🙏
We Indians know that some places in India is little bit dirty compared to western cities but if u put your head up from the streets you can find many beautiful places not only Kolkata but every single state in India... I just love watching vloggers like you who just Ignored all the negative things and only seeks for Good places, Beautiful traditions etc❤❤❤
BTW Thank u for Showing kolkata my birth place but you can find kolkata more & more beautiful if you come during Durga puja❤❤❤❤
❤❤
This man is highly informative he knew which deity temple he has visited
In sundays the Borobazar area and major working sectors of Kolkata are less crowded because of the markets and offices are closed. If you get there in weekdays it will be very busy.
Reminded me of the good old colonial days, when he says bohut acha
Hi bro come to take HAMBI IN KARNATAKA, GOA THESE ARE HOSTORICAL PLACES
Amazing 😊
Kaun kaun kolkata se hai like kro❤❤
you mean VINTAGE not ANCIENT lol
By the way Vishuddha I really do enjoy seeing all those beautiful architectual styles you showed us. I saw other nice architectual styles in Udaipur and Amer near Jaipur as well as in Jaipur. What to say of Old Varanasi on the ghats and alleyways. The GopRo will usually overheat as it happened to me in hot places in Mexico and Colombia.
Welcome to our "City of Joy" Kolkata ❤
Thank you for making the video of my city ❤❤. May be you went there on Saturday/Sunday. Most offices there stay close on weekends. My
office is nearby. Opposite of Calcutta High Court which, completed it's 200th birthday today. I also love old heritage buildings.
Ram Ram Brother ❤
If possible, visit Kolkata again in October during Durga Puja. I can assure you, you'll never regret visiting once more during that time. You'll feel the divine energy of the City Of Joy.
