Wasn't a speed tie, When Eiscue loses the cube, his speed stat goes from 50 to 130
Eiscue is insanely good in 1v1s against any physical pokémon because of this. It's almost always slower, so it gets a hit off after your opponent breaks your face the first time and then you can either Snowscape to get your face back or just hit them because you're faster than 99% of all pokemon when your face is broken.

8:35 I love how no one knows what this ability does, after taking a physical hit Eiscues stats change making him very fast which is why if you have to use him belly drum is really good on him

Honestly, I would say that I feel like Vinny needed to keep Palafin starting in its zero form if they're running normal abilities, but this video was so rough for him that I feel like he needs all the help he can get
Unfortunately you need to switch out Palafin for the ability to activate so the first fight would’ve been a massacre

Taking the idea of a Cagelocke and condensing it into a TWF by removing all the nuzlocke parts, just having selections and battles for buffs toward the Final Fight, is probably the most ingenious way to have something fresh (battle content) yet familiar (episodic nuzlocke such as a Cagelocke) all in one video, as someone who is a longtime fan of both concepts. Would love to see more of this with others

The Eiscue slander has happened for years and it makes me so sad. Dude is genuinely the best belly drum user in the game. On a clean switch in the belly drum is free and has access to ice shard and is super fast once his ice face breaks

Honestly, kinda wanted too give an idea. It really didn't remind me of ir, I just wanted too share. I know no one asked, but I wanna share it. ALSO LOVELY VIDEO LIKE ALWAYS!!! Loaf you patterz!!
But, it's kinda complex. But Yolo. The idea is: the opponent sees your pokemon. Chooses too give a buff, or debuff without knowing what you choose. You have 3 buffs, and 3 debuffs. With 6 rounds in total. As once your opponent decides too give a debuff or buff, they also lose it. So, let's say, they used all debuffs...they can only do buffs. (Also you choose pokemon after your opponent gives a buff or debuff. If that ain't obvious but I felt it was.)
Also this doesn't have too be done on any TH-cam channel. If you see this, or any comment or does, they can maybe try it with friends! If they'd like:D

I've never seen a video in the history of all these "Then we fights" where Vinny is just absolutely demolished by RNG. I would 100% put money down that Frank rigged this video just to troll the shit out of Vinny and Patterz was just the worlds best actor. Amazing rollercoaster of emotions.
Not sure about a cool name for this method, but the rules are simple, you can choose a pokemon unrestricted, but your opponent determines the battle position. So if you chose a Rayquaza, for example, your opponent could decide it would be your last pokemon. If they then later chose an Articuno for a counter, you could place it as their lead, so it has to go through the gauntlet first. For the sake of the video, switching would be banned, ofc, but seems cool.

Love the video! To clarify with Slaking, when you giga impact, it's still only 1 turn of downtime, it just takes away your ability to switch on the truant turn.

k, so here me out, alternitive similar idea. Each time you draft a mon it becomes added to your team then you do a battle with your current team (ex draft 1, 1v1, draft 2 2v2, and so on). This would be a best to 4 wins, with in this case, the loser getting the buff rather than the winner to keep it competitive. Also to disincentivize trying to lose by adding bad moves for later buffs you make it so the mons cannot change there moves, itams, or abilities between rounds (unless a reward said so). (also if you want it to be even more back and fourth you could make it so each subsiquent loss the buffs you get become incrimentally stronger to).
Also I know this would be a long vid so is a bit unlikely to work but theoretically to you could make every even round a doubles battle rather than singles to speed it up a little bit. (might also make things a little more intresting)
You could also just draft 2 mons at a time with the same idea and make it a first to 3 wins as well or smt like that.
If it's regular abilities, if slacking has his regular I think Palafin should've had his regular ability and not be pre-hero mode.

You should totally do this same idea, but pick all 6 at the beginning and then do the 1v1s where you have to predict each round who is coming in
So 8:35 I believe Ice face raises Eiscue's speed and drops it's defenses when it's face breaks. So, that was just Eiscue outspeeding that turn due tot he speed buff. Haven't watched further yet, but I'm hoping that the illegal move chosen is Shell Smash to work off that awesome combo.

the legendary round followed immediately by a legendary cagematch was one of the highlights of a twf of all time
video idea: each round you draft 6 types of pokemon facts (e.g height, typing, name origin, etc) and you have to use all 6 by picking 2 facts for each of the starters to try and get to know its identity. This way you will have to really think which pairs of facts would be useful to completely identify the pokemon.

I like this concept gave me another idea, same thing but it goes a 1v1 then 2v2 then 3v3 so on after each pick with the buff still in play or without.
