Presenting to you the 1st part of My experiences at Arbaeen Walk 2022 (Najaf to Karbala Walk) by foot.
The total distance is around 100kms from Shrine of Hazrat Ali (a.s) in Najaf to Shrine of Hazrat Imam Hussain (a.s) in Karbala.
Arba’een is the world’s largest annual pilgrimage. Each year, as many as 25 million Muslims converge on southern Iraq to mark the end of a 40-day mourning period. Pilgrims travel from all over the world to walk the 50 miles between the holy cities of Najaf and Karbala. In doing so, they form a vast community that promotes peace and solidarity alongside their deep faith.
Arba’een is of great importance both for Iraq and the Shi’a community. It has endured great hardships, having been banned by Saddam Hussein, and remains a target for terrorist attacks. Today, its very existence speaks of resilience and offers a window into innumerable and significant stories.

shame on you people you are polluting a sacred place with kachra. have you people have any sense what are you doing in the land of imam hussain. even the common street of western country looks thousands time cleaner than it. if you people have any shame do not pollute this sacred place.

Dear, I appreciate your comment and feedback. Though in a gathering of 22 million people, it's very difficult to keep the place with zero pollution. Though all the visitors there try to put the trash in bins as the maximum available there. Also, the district management cleans the places then and there. So, if you go and experience it yourself, you can see that actions have been taken to clean the place. Also, I am planning to start some Go Green and Clean initiatives in Karbala from next year onwards. Also, I would like to request as a brother to always give feedback in a soft tone. This is also Sunnah to talk politely if you could recall when Prophet PBUH politely visited the women who threw garbage on him.
