I sold my Epic V 10 elite surfski after 3 years and 12667 km paddled with no scratch on. I rinced it and dried it with a chamois clothe everytime. I can tell it is worth the care you can give to your paddling crafts. I also rince my i SUP Tikhine Wave with one liter of water just after the paddling session.
in surfskis I had a Garmin 310 gps which gives me distances and speeds. Now with my i SUP and hardboard I only have the Relive Application on my phone..I have all the aerial view of my trip with the distance and only the maximal speed. when you know exactly the time spent paddling and the distance it s easy to calculate your average speed. Relive gives also the average speed but if you stop to rest the average speed falls down and it false
Hello Ethan! I have just started sup- boarding this summer, and bought my first board. A isup(Control Rocket). As a car and boat detailer, i am thinking on coating my board with a boatwax(collinite 925). Do you advice to coat my board or not. I am only paddle in freshwater her in Norway. Thank you for your time. Creds on your great videos. Greetings from Fluberg, Norway.
Congrats on becoming a paddle boarder this summer! 😁 You shouldn’t need to coat your board with anything as it should be good to go and won’t add anything to the performance.
How long do well maintained inflatables last up to? I’ve own my Red Paddle Co Sport for well over 5 years and it’s still fresh as hell. Wonder if it would make the 10 years mark.
Hello Ethan, one question, is there a difference between deflating your paddle board and then rinse it or rinsing it first then deflating it completely? For logistical reasons i'm kind of forced to do the former, but i wanted to know from your experience if it makes any difference to keep in mind
Good question Amr. I personally prefer to rinse my board off while it's inflated it as it's easier for me to clean that way. But, Honestly rinsing it off deflated is perfectly fine as well. So, it's totally up to you. 🤙

I can't give you an exact life span but a quality iSUP like from Red Paddle Co should have no problem lasting more than 10 years.
@@ethanhuffsup thx for the info! Happy paddling.
