Your theory is actually quite right. They are talking about the other side of them ( you can say their past self). They kinda begin from taking a one way ticket to a journey that would change them (for the better) in hopes of making them feel complete and happy .Through out the cle series they always talk about their struggles and their thoughts like “ Am i doing this right ?” or “ Will this make me happy at the end?” and stuff like that. Since this is the end of cle series ( stepping out of cle) they finally realise that what they needed from the begining was already inside them and as long as they are themselves everything would be alright. It is a really emotional outburst and realisation for them. At least thats my theory😁. Also cle means key in French🙃.
